doublevr If there was little variation in 1) distance to crotch 2) vertical and hozrontal position of crotch in frame, between standing, lying and cowgirl, then I would agree that adding another layer of complication was not an issue and potentially better, but these are not standardized so the adjustments necessary for each of the positions have to be changed in each video.
I think its a bad idea till the shooting is better calibrated.
Ideally no matter what, the view video frame should contain the same perspective and distance, because the viewer has not changed, whether standing or sitting or lying down. they should make one alignment and from then on all the videos and positions should align. Thats not the case. for whatever misguided reason, in cowgirl the crotch is higher in the frame so has to be pitched down, the missionary crotch is lower in the frame and has to be pitched up, as well as height adjusted to bring closer, and more often than not also side adjusted. for standing all of a sudden the crotch is at super frame bottom and needs massive pitch up as well as height adjustment.
Please suggest to the filming crew that its the crotch distance thats the immersive bit. and have them always place it the same distance and in the same location of the camera. Maybe have them make a little mark on the preview as well as add a tape measure onto the lens which is 60cm so they can easily check angle and distance for each shot 🙂
I should also mention that the passthrough vids from your studio seem to have repetitive issue with being further away from viewer. please check
