gpu for 4k vr vids ?

im having gtx 1060 6gb but its not enough , anything beyond 1920 start to be choppy , cpu is not an issue I have i9, please suggest me something that will do the work

EDIT: running downloaded 8k video from pc run smooth on my quest 2 (altough its max is 4k),
so its seems the graphic card can handle it
but when im streaming 1920 p from pc its stuck!,
when streaming straight on my quest 2 from deo vr it works smooth , so its also seems internet is ok ,

if I could download vids and without script downloading limit so I could somehow get away with it , but this way its not possible

I feel your pain.
I had to purchase a RTX 3070 just to stream 8k60fps videos consistently since they seem to be more normalized nowadays.
Prior to the upgrade, I had a GTX 1070 and even some 5k60fps videos would stutter/freeze.
With the advent of AV1 videos, I'd personally choose the RTX 4060TI(or better) since it supports AV1 encoding for streaming.

Edit: I forgot you don't have a Quest 3, so AV1 encoding is pointless. An RTX 3060TI should be sufficient then. There's a bunch of used ones that sell for pretty cheap nowadays.
