Pornhub is not a concern - but when is SLR going to follow suit?

That site and few others are blocking access to states in an attempt to protest that the laws be thrown out for this ID verification system. However it's pretty likely that they will later on implement the new system unless the protests are successful. However it could go the other way too if no sites implement the new systems there could be states without any access to porn sites. Some other popular sites that are taking part in that protest https://virtualporn.com/ and https://bangbros.com/ technically those are both owned by the same company. Another popular site on the list is https://www.brazzers.com/ There is a handful of others too and the list is growing slowly. I hope SLR stays out of the protest personally.

phyuggene Not to forget that there is no need to sign up with PH etc. I guess if you are a paying subscriber, privacy is less of an issue because you may have already left your name and address via the payment. But the anonymous free users that are creating probably a substantial share of the ad revenue will just go some place else when asked for ID.

For perspective: PH made $213 million in advertising revenue and $52 million in premium subscriptions in 2018

phyuggene Fair point. Still doesn't change the fact the states aren't banning porn which was the point of that paragraph. The hyperbolic nonsense and partisan buffoonery around this only hurts any attempts to course correct.
