When I enable the "Show Japanese / JAV" switch I see 5684 more videos but if I go to the JAV category there are 6927 videos. Why is there such a big a difference in the numbers?

    Hey phyuggene , I see what you mean here! Indeed when you go to a JAV category it displays the 6928 videos as a number:

    However, when are in the main VR Videos video and when the JAV switch is turned off, there are 22,104 videos but when it's turned on there are 27,789 videos which isn't a correct calculation based on JAV videos.

    I'll check with the team and will let you know what they say!

      Hey, appreciate the patience here!

      The team just reached back and confirmed the thing doublevr mentioned:

      We do not include almost 1.5k JAV scenes in the https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes?type=premium tab because this scenes are under the 'sandbox' tab, but we do show them at https://www.sexlikereal.com/tags/jav-vr since this page is showing all scenes that have 'jav-vr' tag without any additional conditions like 'sandbox'

      Hope this clarifies it now!

          Premium (compilations on, JAV on) = 28074
          Premium (compilations on, JAV off) = 22389
          Premium JAV = 28074 - 22389 = 5685

          Sandbox (compilations on, JAV on) = 3623
          Sandbox (compilations on, JAV off) = 1311
          Sandbox JAV = 3623 - 1311 = 2312

          Total JAV = 5685 + 2312 = 7997
          Meanwhile I see 6927 under the JAV category

              phyuggene Agreed, Sandbox cannot be the only reason for the discrepancy.

              There is a CovertJapan video from today in the main feed https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes?type=premium&sort=most_recent (so not sandboxed) that goes away if you toggle JAV off. However, the video does not appear under https://www.sexlikereal.com/tags/jav-vr?sort=most_recent. So this means the set of 5685 (JAV toggle) contains videos that are not part of the set of 6927 (JAV category).

              Another example: Searching for the phrase 'JAV ID' https://www.sexlikereal.com/search/elastic?q=jav+id&tab=scenes results in 6928 scenes, and 64 of them are not affected by toggling JAV off.

                  Hey guys, I appreciate the inputs however I'm just passing on what the developers are saying. They also mentioned this:

                  We are showing pre-cached count value here, which updates every 24 hours, so to make it accurate we need to count all videos from the requested lists each time for each user independently which is a very resourceful task.

                  So to simplify it, this is also caused by a cache.

                      SchnuppiLilac The poor guy making CovertJapan is getting screwed.
                      His videos are not censored but you still have to turn on JAV. So a lot of people don't see them. If you then search JAV people still don't see them.
                      Someone should fix this @[deleted]

                          ZENRA Do you happen to have any info on the number discrepancy above?

                              phyuggene Out of my ken, sorry. That sounds like less of a JAV issue and more of a back-end issue that just so happens to seemingly affect JAV movies.
