One thing to make Passthrough better on SLR!

I've been slow to come around to passthrough, but I will say that it has gotten MUCH better. The recent Ashley Alexander release was the best all around PT release I've seen to date on SLR. The ONLY thing missing right now has to do with the functionality of the DEOVR app.

The biggest hurdle to enjoying a PT video right now is getting the video lined up correctly with your body, and being able to adjust it quickly while you're "servicing' yourself. The controls for doing this in DEOVR are cumbersome and it takes way too long, killing the mood. Heresphere, on the other hand, allows you to translate the image quickly by pulling the trigger (on quest) and setting it where you need it. It's unfortunate that I have to download SLR videos and stream them (or sideload) just to view them in Heresphere. If DEOVR would just add the option for the same type of image manipulation, it would be a huge win for the passthrough format on SLR and DEO.

Johnsmithburner0 Try the 'dome rotation' keybindings specified in your general DeoVR settings, it's probably both triggers.

Johnsmithburner0 They had close to the same thing with the DEO app before the last update. They made it so the screen automatically is supposed to center it straight up and down now. The problem is that mine is never correct.

As @SchnuppiLilac says you can try using the dome rotation but that still isn't very good.
Before if the male was sitting too far to the left at a 3% angle. You could hold the setting button then lean to the left at a 3% angle and let go of the button. As you know now you have to go to slide and then dome rotate. Then 2 minutes later the guy is starting to move and you have to stop everything or start messing with the setting again while the video is playing. With Heresphere or before DEO you could just hold setting and move it really quickly.

Maybe I am wrong here, but I was under the impression that what they call 'dome rotation' in DeoVR lets you drag the video with the controller in any direction you want, and activating 'dome rotation with roll' lets you tilt/slant on top of that. At least I never felt that I was missing the slide or any other function when using dome rotation to reposition a video.

DEO doesn't have keyframes, so it doesn't matter what controls they provide, you still have to fuck around with positions every time you watch the scene. One big reason why HS is superior, dial in the positions one time and never need to touch the controls again.

vrpicasso Wouldn't that work only if you are in the exact same position and everything the next time? Like if your head is slightly more elevated the next time then your keyframes wouldn't match up perfectly?

phyuggene No, you center your view before adding any key frames and before playing scenes. Look straight ahead, and center. That's your baseline. You can also share heresphere files so only one person has to fix the colors and camera then others can enjoy their work. It's a generational leap above DEO.

SchnuppiLilac Maybe it is because I have roll activated with the Dome Rotation. I can't slide the picture to the left and right with it. Plus for me it just goes all over the place when I try to use it. It's very weird when I try.
I'll take roll off and see if it is any better tonight.

Hey guys, can you guys try this tip that I personally use and would recommend for much quicker intuitive recentering:

In DeoVR:

Go to Settings -> Controller -> Under the GLOBAL tab -> Re-map the 'RECENTER' button to 'Primary Thumbstick center' OR 'any button you prefer that you don't already use'
(Make sure you click the green check mark to confirm and override any previous mapped button)

Now once the native passthrough video plays, just click and hold your 'thumbstick center' button -> then just move your head to drag the scene to line up with your cock, and release the button -> perfect alignment quick and easy everytime!

RealcumberScripts Hmm for some reason that doesnt work, nothing happens when I keep the recenter button pressed, only when I press/release it, it recenters.

Either way the dome role is pretty great. I actually didnt know about this feature, I think it's not in the PT tutorial? Should definitely be there, it's awesome

RealcumberScripts That used to work smoothly before. I had recenter set to A, so whenever I pressed and held that button, the video would move smoothly and it would stop moving when I stopped pressing it. However, since the latest DeoVR update for the Quest 3, the video only moves once I stop pressing A (recenter), so it takes longer to position it properly since I have no "preview" of what it'll look like. The latest update also made it so that holding the recenter button doesn't roll the video anymore, it just moves it along the other 2 axis. I tried reinstalling and tweaking every setting but nothing seems to work

harigeharry - Good to hear dome roll is helping - Did you ensure you tried re-mapping 'RECENTER' button under the "GLOBAL" tab and that the binding was fully saved 100%?

doublevr Maybe you don't know that after the last update ( not the one today) The pull the trigger and move the scene around to where you want it and then let go, is broken. You can NOT do this anymore. It does nothing until you let go of the button but you can't tell where the scene is going to be. This has made it a lot more work to get the picture right.

One thing I really like in pt alpha is during laying cg rcg the hotties sit up straight hip gring and bounce with knees one the bed instead of crab led or leant forward to long during rcg, I like it all but my fave is when they sit up straight.
