Hey Guys,
I searched the forum and didn't see a similar topic so thought I'd create one.
I was browsing through some old VR180 vids filmed between 2015-2017. There are some great models and scenes but all the scenes filmed made the models look gigantic and out of proportion.
I understand it was a limitation of a then new technology and people were still learning.
Any tips how to watch these now?
I tend to use the DeoVR player and zoom all the way out which helps a little but then the field of view is messed up and far way.
I also found lowering the height while zooming out helps but it also messes with the height/width proportions of the performers.
Finally selecting the fisheye option under advanced options sometimes helps since the older cameras filmed with fisheye optics I believe.
I understand there's probably not much we can do unless the scenes are re-filmed using today's cameras/technology.
Just thought I'd ask for anyone's input on this. I'm only referring to videos that are 3D VR180. I am not referring to 2D VR360 vids.
Thanks!
