Not that many people actually want it, but because of the bias in viewing algorithms, it seems like it's really popular. Step-porn is cheap to produce because you can basically film in any domestic setting, so the producers are happy to believe there's a demand. PT is also cheap to produce, because all you need is a green (or grey) screen and perhaps also a "slightly damaged" body suit for the male actor. Hence, we are all going down the road to step-porn pass-through hell. I want off this ride, please.

        I believe your information about the production cost of PT content may be inaccurate. Renting a green screen studio, especially for VR shooting requiring a 180-degree setup, is significantly more expensive than renting a house, for example. Additionally, post-processing for PT content is more complex. I completely understand if someone expresses dislike for it, and it's perfectly acceptable. SLR as a platform offers users the choice of what to watch, while also maintaining open doors policies for different products.

            I think you are right that renting a studio with a green screen may not be cheaper than renting some porn house for a day. But there are multiple video clips on Twitter from the Simsense Media shoots for SLR where you can get an idea of the green screen set-up. I don't know who owns this, if there is some gargantuan rent to pay or if it's hard to get a free slot there, but the wooden framework with the green lining definitely looks like something that even the smallest production company could easily build with some manual skills and set up permanently at their home base.

                  I read the thread so far, just wanted to reconfirm if the highest available resolution of a video is playing on the Vision Pro at the moment and if the handy is able to connect (this only impacts my Vision Pro purchase timing) - thanks

                    Mortimer I haven't been able to playback anything worth watching with Safari on the AVP. I wrote this post here with my latest thoughts. TLDR; download the VR movies to the AVP, watch them with the free Moon Player app. For now, I haven't bothered trying to sync Handy scripts.

                      Mortimer we are working on making highest resolution available in AVP through webXR.
                      Handy can be connected through Handy key in your profile - once you insert Handy key in your profile and open video in VR Mode through web browser, it will connect automatically.

                      I will prepare some instructions and post them here today on how to make all of it working for you

                        Any updates on the resolution upgrade for the Vision Pro? If so what is the new max and when will it be fixed?

                                  Hi guys, sorry for a late reply, we did not manage to make an update last week, but we are already testing some fixes and after QA gives a green light, we will release some updates this week.

                                  This thing is an absolute MESS on the AVP. I don't know if anyone one the SLR team has access to an actual devices, or is just testing on other devices, but trying to use this on Vison Pro is just a complete non starter. Once you go into a video and switch to VR mode (which is tricky in itself) you are presented with rudimentary hand controls that are worse even that they are on a Quest which is quite an achievement actually. It is just impossible to reliable interact with anything using these things are they jitter all over the place and don't even seem to recognize the pinch to interact.
                                  On top of that everything feels washed out - like an incorrect color space issues - and the resolution of both the video and UI is super low.

                                  While I appreciate the attempt, to label this as something that is useable is really a reach.

                                    Agathorn sorry to hear you had such an experience. We are working to improve this with every new iteration and it will become better with time.
                                    As mentioned above, we should have an update released this week, which will make controls better and generally improve experience with VR Mode.

                                        Made it work in 4K. Sent it out for testing.
