Kieshi any new app developments? Also, when will we be able to get playlists to work?

@Kieshi As of yesterday the website no longer works for AVP. Videos launched yesterday via normal browser interface didn’t automatically play in VR. Attempts to watch video in VR forced the user to the VR hub (to the home page where they are signed out). Attempts to do the same on other websites continues to function as normal which rules out AVP software as the cause.

Today the problem became worse. Now AVP users can’t access the web interface at all, with auto-redirects occurring as soon as a user clicked a video (in contrast to yesterday when users were only redirected after clicking the headset logo in the bottom right of the video player). This issue now prevents AVP users from downloading videos in addition to forcing AVP users into the vastly inferior VR Hub interface. The VR Hub interface is so poor at hand tracking that absent sitting with two face-up open palms or hiding ones hands, almost any hand movement results in an unintentional click gesture making navigating the interface and correctly selecting an intended video nearly impossible.

Please reenable the option for AVP users to use the standard web interface and stop forcing redirects to the VR Hub.

userky You need to update to visionOS 2. Could you please update and let me know if this has resolved it?

Based on other threads I see, I'm not sure if its an AVP problem only, but you can't play a whole video without it freezing, or needing to hit the play/pause button, or jump in time somewhere. It seems to be more stable if you don't jump anywhere and let the video play from start every time. And good luck if you are using the scripts, sync issues due to the freezes, etc. It's not a pleasant experience.

Do you guys normally test watching a video for 5 minutes or more? It takes a few minutes to act up, and I can see devs/QA not having patience to watch a single video for that long.

On OS version 2, no apps open, just browser, with line of sight to wifi access point (5 feet away) on a gigabit fiber connection.

Not just to throw negative stuff out, but the improvements you've made since launch of the AVP are great. The video quality now is worlds better than it was a few months ago. I do appreciate the work you've put into your product.

@doublevr I saw your post on reddit the other day, with passthrough, that looked amazing, but at this point I'd be content with just a stable video player that has scripting enabled, just anything to not rely on the browser and streaming. MoonPlayer works so well with downloaded SLR content, the only reason I come to the website is for the scripting support. We're thirsty out here. 😃

If you guys open up beta testing for your AVP app, i'd love to join.

pooper2k Well I can relate to your post but I guess we're just too small of an amount of AVP users that we're probably at the bottom of the todo list. I for one would just LOVE to have them implement PT for the AVP (which IS possible, since it works via heresphere/AVLR. But yeah, I also understand that we're not really in a position to make demands, LOL, just like the people who come on here to ask for more trans porn LOL. Beggers cant be choosers.

Hopefully we'll become a little more important when Apple releases their cheaper headset and more users will be on it. It's just such an awesome headset, especially once you've modded it for more FoV.

pooper2k thank you for mentioning this, we will investigate and check how we can improve this

Hey guys, need your opinions on UI for AVP. How would it be more comfortable for you to interact with UI - hands tracking or with your head (we unfortunately cannot track eyes at the moment)?
Also, which gesture would be the best to show and hide the UI, so we avoid the sudden Ui appearing all of a sudden?

            Kieshi gesture

Didn't DeoVR use to have a hand clap gesture for this? I think that worked quite well. Not sure if it's still there, can't find it anymore.

Kieshi I can confirm that the device is running visionOS 2.0.

The problem has reverted to the original behavior. After selecting a video in the web interface, a new webpage loads with the traditional video player. When hitting the play icon in the video player, the video fails to automatically launch the WebXR environment. When selecting “Watch in VR” a prompt appears directing Quest, PC, and Pico users to install the DevoVR app. When selecting the VR headset icon from the bottom right corner of the video player menu the webpage redirects to a new webpage with options to “Go to website” or “Enter VR”. Selecting “Go to website” redirects back to the homepage. Selecting the other option, launches the DevoVR environment with a signed out device.

I understand I can login to DevoVR separately but find the interface unpleasant to use for the reason stated in my original post. My preference is to use the WebXR environment via the traditional video player.

userky Hello, so could you please elaborate where do you have an issue?
If you open sexlikereal.com it should automatically take you to the screen where you can "Enter VR" and if you click "Enter VR" it will open WebXR Hub environment

Hi everyone, we had a update today and here are a few news:

                • Fixed bugs with artifacts in ui
                • Made the interface as clear as possible

Let me know how does it look for you!

userky I’m also experiencing this. No immersive experience available when using the web player running visionOS 2.0.1. Confirmed WebXR is enabled. Video plays in an embedded player on the page. No option to launch immersive player.

                  PT works with this hack!!

On the webxr click the pass through button to make the background black.

Open up the control center on the AVP

And then press and hold the crown to recenter! Boom actual pass through!!!!

Jjhooke69 Nah this was mentioned before and is 'ghost' PT as you see through the model and the whole environment is kinda blurry. I much prefer the ALVR PT hack that was posted above, that's near perfect, apart of the green line around the model (and the fact that steamvr/ALVR doesnt seem very stable on my PC, crashes after a while).

Anyway, tried the player again, still buggy as hell.

harigeharry I am running visionOs2 and when I hold the crown to re-center after opening the control center, The model is no longer transparent.

This is what works for me since I do not have a computer to use ALVR with. So the way this works standalone is good for now

Jjhooke69 Haha yeah you're right that's interesting indeed. The only disadvantage is that although the model indeed becomes like she should be, your own environment still is opaque. And there's of course the menu in the way this way. Or did you manage to hide that? But yeah this is a nice find indeed!

harigeharry if you open the menu and then tap to open the control center while the curser is not on the menu, then the menu will disappear as well🙂
