  • Enable WebXR on Apple Vision Pro to watch SexLikeReal

Just an FYI: I checked with the team today and we have 60% of trailers converted to AVP compatible format. As soon as we are done with trailers - we will be converting old videos 🙂

Hey mrdiscreet918, keep in mind that the AVP is still not a recommended headset to enjoy SLR content due to the fact that each video has to be formatted for the device to support it (check thread here).

We expect to have a dedicated AVP app but until then, we kindly ask for your patience as the team is working hard on making AVP work with all of our content.

Kieshi Trailers? Why bother with those? Are yous trying to get some test conversions in for practice? Since they are smaller size? Why not start with newer videos before old?

[deleted] That's fine, but then don't post stuff like this.
All I'm trying to do is figure out what I can and can't watch given the limitations. Previously in this same thread we're in now I was told that anything above 42998 would be viewable. So if I ask why videos above 42998 aren't in fact working, I shouldn't be met with a "check" that AVP is still in development and I need to be patient. I think all of us on this thread are being patient and are asking you to help us locate the content that can be watched given the limitations.

mrdiscreet918 I think the summary currently is:

          1) Passthrough doesnt work. Won't work until apple allows it (maybe never)
          2) While watchable, video quality still suffers if you play directly via the website. The colors are not perfect, there's a frame rate issue and the player itself doesn't work very well. Better just download the video's you like and stream them via either DLNA or a windows share to your AVP with for example Moon player. Quality then simply is the best out there, nothing beats the AVP at this moment (and I think it will take a while before a competitor beats it). It's just crazy good. Personally I crank up the contrast in moonplayer VERY slightly and it looks even better. Your question was related to specific content though, so my 'answer' is not directly directed at you but more to anyone wondering what the current state is of the AVP+SLR.

Let's hope apple announces PT capability tomorrow at the WWDC 2024 conference but I honestly doubt it will ever become available...

silentcoder as you mentioned, they are smaller size and they would need to be converted anyways, so we did them first as it was faster.

SchnuppiLilac I understood it simply as API's for enterprises. Not API's that are available to the public. So a way for Apple to control who gets to use it. But who knows. It's at least a glimmer of hope.

harigeharry this one is more for the native apps, we are waiting for tomorrow to find our about WebXR updates

harigeharry For the other OS from Apple, there are enterprise developer programs that are intended for larger companies that need to develop their own non-public in-house apps on Apple platforms for use in closed environments only. What would be needed for porn is that developers of apps for the public app store would get access to the camera feed but it seems public apps cannot make use of the enterprise APIs.

Hairsational I always kinda hated Apple. I don't own an iphone for that reason. I mean that whole attitude "We decide what's best for you and thus won't give you this feature", can't stand it! But honestly, the AVP is far from a paperweight, even for PT fans. I also own a quest 3 and love it for PT, but lately for porn I'm almost exclusively using the AVP. The image quality, if you download a video, is just insane. AND it kinda does some form of PT, if you have the player dialog open in Moonplayer, it shows your hands AND your dick 🙂 So there's some basic form of PT. But yeah, I'm definitely hating apple for this 'we know best what's good for you' attitude.

harigeharry At the time I wrote that I was working at Unity technologies on Vision Pro content and working closely with the team responsible for the Vision Pro tools, so yeah.

That said I saw a Github project that was attempting to actually get a chromakey video working so I'm curious to see how that works. As I said originally you can't access the camera feed, but assuming you can render a video in the right mode that has transparency, then you should be able to just naturally see through to the real world without needing to superimpose the camera data.

Seems like WebXR will become automatically enabled on Vision Pro from version 18.
Sadly - no mentioning of AR...🙁
