  • SLR APP "Thread priority security exception, make sure the APK is signed"

Struggling to get the SLR app working. When it loads it gives the following error message instead. "Thread priority security exception, make sure the APK is signed"

Using a Samsung galaxy S9.
Android version 10
One UI version 2.0

quiffed1 There is a reported issue with One UI, it's not compatible yet and it will take some time for a fix.
For now, we recommend using DeoVR in this case (just install and type "sexlikereal.com" in the navigation bar).

I have the same problem with the SRL App since some weeks.

I tried to load DEO VR, but also not works. The app always updates and updates aagin. But doesn't start.
Galaxy S9 Android 10 and Gear VR
I will not longer pay for an app that not works.

I too am having the same issue with the Gear VR:
    Samsung S9+
    Android Ver. 10
    One UI Ver. 2.0

I've ordered an Oculus Quest, is this having the same issue as well?

Hi folks, activate the developer mode (go into gearVR Service settings and tap version number 6times, then 4 hidden switches will apear.
Turning on "Allow apps without OSIG" and turning on "prevent GearVR environment from starting" (so or same meaning, my menu is in german) will allow you to use SLR app as intended.

      a month later

Was the Thread Priority Security Exeption error addressed in an update yet? I've not been able to run it on my GearVR without first going through the developer options as described above.

      Samsung S9+
      One UI version 2.0
      Android 10.

I will be getting a Valve Index in a few weeks, I hope it works better on there.

We used a trick to get things working on gear vr, otherwise closed eco system. It stopped working on some s9 phones after Android update.
Valve index is way to go. You will enjoy vr much better on that

We might release a fix for s9 with the next update with more data arrive

I'm having this issue as well.

How do you do this on S9? The version number is greyed out, you can't tap it.

I found it. On S9 you go Apps -> Gear VR Service -> Storage -> Manage Storage (at the bottom) and "Allow VR API without OSIG" and "Disable VR Home" are at the bottom. Solved the problem.
