Hello beautiful people!

Some exciting news that we hope you will enjoy:

Now you can share your scripts with the SLR community in the Haptics tab.

Our AI buddy will give them a once-over, and if they pass the vibe check, they’ll be up for grabs by our premium users. Each of you can upload just one script per scene, and if you drop another, it’ll smoothly replace the old one.

How do I know the status?

You’ll get a heads-up in notifications as soon as your script gets the green light or if it has been rejected.

Can I delete my script?

No delete button yet—it’s just the first round. But don’t worry, it’s in the works! If you ever want a script to be taken down, send an email to scripts@sexlikereal.com, and we’ll sort you out.

We believe this is an awesome opportunity for the community to share with one another and for you guys to show-off your work to the people in the neighbourhood.

Let us know what you guys think and go try submitting some scripts 🙂

So this is more of just a question but what's to stop someone from taking a script created elsewhere and just uploading it here ?

Docbear64 we are working on the uniqueness validation system to detect such cases and not let the script go live

Docbear64 is the same like tubes - if reported we will take it down.
Also working to have checks in andvance.

Otherwise anything can be uploaded for private purposes

doublevr So you'll just let anyone upload scripts, and it is up to the script authors to police your site for you? You're really ticking the free scripters off, my dude.

Wendigo I feel like you missed something. Maybe re-read the second sentence of the reply you’re referencing …and the reply above it 🤷‍♂️

uniqueness validation simply means that the script isn't the same as others that have been uploaded. It can't detect whether it is the same as a script that someone else wrote without having the original script to compare to - which SLR doesn't have unless the original script author decides to upload to SLR. "working to have checks in advance" is similarly nebulous, but also cannot work without the original script to compare it to. Either way, it relies on the authors to either give their script to SLR (which many do not want to do) or to continually police SLR to make sure no one uploads their script - which is an unfair burden, and either requires them to have a subscription so they can use one of their 3 downloads to download the sript in question and compare, or purchase the script. Imagine having to pay SLR to protect your intellectual property! Several people on the scripters forum have complained already that people uploaded their content on the first day this was available, so I didn't miss anything. The time to have these checks in place is BEFORE you open uploads to the public, not be "working on it" after you've already released it.

thatoculusdude If you can't protect the intellectual propery of the creators, don't allow uploads. Pretty simple. If Heresphere had some feature to upload your VR videos so that you could stream them easier and allowed you to share them with others, doublevr's head would explode. They'd be sued so fast their heads would spin. The only difference is that here they are picking on small creators instead of a large company. The ethics are pretty clear, though.

And why should I have a solution for SLR essentially pirating idependent creator's scripts? Seems to me it is the responsibility of the company to act responsibly, not for users to remind them to all the time.

thatoculusdude Why are you asking me? Their TOS for that is available.

                https://www.sexlikereal.com/pages/scriptdevagreement

For what it is worth, their TOS says that you, the uploader are reponsible for the script you upload, and that if it's stolen, you get sued not SLR. So, all the responsibility for the script is on the uploader, and all the responsibility for policing the scripts in the first place is on the original authors. The company that is benefitting - SLR - apparently has no responsibility whatsoever (except to cash the checks).

Not to mention that when you upload a script to "share with the community" you grant SLR "a nonexclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-cancelable, sub-licensable right and license to use each Script that Developer provides Operator for the purpose of (a) making available such Scripts on the Website, including, without limitation, the right to publish, display, modify, sell and create derivative works as may be necessary or reasonably desirable to accomplish the same, and (b) for research, development, and training purposes."
