  • Reality Lovers Leaving SLR on 01/01/24

Keep in mind it's always business behind these companies.

VRBangers were given us hard times with their classy "Give us this stupid shit or we pull". Reality Lovers was not that bad, but they were on and off a few times already.

Otherwise we try to air something really special you guys can't even think of.

Is there any Chance, you guys give us an Discount on the Reality Lovers AI Scripts, if we buy a huge Amount? I'd like to buy 30+ Scripts. I guess, you won't sell those scripts, after RL has left. So if you gives us a good Discount, it would be a win/win Situation. You sell more, we get more

FritzGerlach we don't have that functionality. Nor we will be able to do it fast. Life ain't easy. We have to choose where to focus at.

I can say for sure there will be more content and videos coming

doublevr Too bad, i really hope, you guys will add a Discount System for AI Scripts in the near Future.

How shall there be more Content and Videos comming, if RealityLovers are leaving??

doublevr I think they are getting themselves from bad to worse whatever their logic is

Maybe they are about to close its doors? Yesterday I went through their catalogue to pick my favs, and probably 99% of all the 60 vids I picked were all from 5-6 years ago. It's kind of sad 😕

yes a lot of video with graphics and color that are a little outdated in my opinion; but I really liked the non-pov videos

If it's about money, it doesn't deserve to be posted on SLR.
Indeed, a good part of the videos are 3 years old. 4 years... The most important thing for a site like SLR is to have consistent content with the best quality of videos that is several years old and a studio that wants even more money, it doesn't make sense

Curieux everything is about money, no one is doing this stuff for free. SLR is a means to an end for these studios, a way to get eyes on their content and make some money off it in order to stay afloat. SLR aren’t providing a free service either though and undoubtedly take their cut, as they should.

At some point a studio will have a decision to make on whether they can make more money in the long run by cutting out the middle man (SLR) and selling their content direct to the consumer exclusively via their own site.

Like a few others have mentioned though, RL haven’t been releasing a lot of videos at all of late and their best ones, in my opinion, are from a long time ago. I wouldn’t think they were in a prime position to break out on their own right now. It’s a strange one.

petermc it's also true that the market can't catch up with current production speeds

            justsomedude101 RealJamVR

RealJamVR is a good studio. However, I am very disappointed with their Christmas offering. Here they have an amazing catalog and will release a remix on Christmas, instead of adjusting the release of one of their other films. The company should be more festive.

doublevr end of the world is coming. get yourself ready

Not the end of the world, just the end of the American dollar as a global currency. Oh yeah, and about 7.6 billion people. For the remaining 500 million, all will be good!

petermc cutting out the middle man (SLR) and selling their content direct to the consumer exclusively via their own site.

VRFanService has left SLR and went to VRPorn. Swallowbay has left SLR but not VRPorn or POVR. Too early to tell what will happen with Reality Lovers in January but my guess is that they won't go exclusive either.

Why on earth would a studio leave SLR as a source of income while at the same time staying on other aggregators? Seems to make no sense. Unless someone is offering you a sweeter deal...

                SchnuppiLilac went to VRPorn

The only formidable loss here is VRFanService. However, his/her films were hit-or-miss, and their best film remains on SLR, despite the tragic loss of the Coco Lovelock-Succubi classic, which thankfully I downloaded in full resolution before its removal!

meh, think i honestly only kept about 5 of there scenes on here, and as many have said, they were all from about 6 years ago, they wont be a loss but i do wish them the best, hope they have a reboot and give us some great content going forwards, fingers crossed

SchnuppiLilac the fuckers are probably luring them into anti-SLR deals. I will let them burn all the money they can. It’s not going to help them any way.

We better invest the money into more of in-house production.

SchnuppiLilac could it be that the other sites have them under contract and they need to wait for the contract to run down? I don’t know how it works.

Maybe the other aggregators are nowhere near the same level as SLR so they’re not as bothered about leaving stuff on there? Like you say, it’s strange to remove yourself from one site (the biggest by far as I understand it) and stay on others.

The in-house production at SLR has also been hit-or-miss. You are spending a fortune to shoot separate, censored films for the Japanese market (instead of just censoring classic SLR films and re-releasing them there); as well, you have budgeted for a Trans SLR Originals before doing a gay SLR Originals (as if the Trans market is bigger than the gay market).
