I am interested in setting up a DLNA server, if it's still a usable option. I would want to be able to use funscripts and passthrough would be nice, but not as important as funscripts. I use a Quest 3. I would be willing to copy funscript files to the Quest 3, if needed. It could server the DLNA from Windows, Linux, Mac, or be willing to buy some sort of external RAID hard drive setup. So, what software or hardware would anyone recommend that can be used with DeoVR for DLNA? Is it possible to serve funscripts also that link with the video file?

fair warning DNLA will be available to basically any smart tv on your network and often appear as suggested content in tv os (i learned this the hard way)

Skybox server on the other hand can only be seen by skybox clients, just doesn't have the features you mentioned. Good luck.

You can disable DNLA in XBVR and use the browser in DEOVR instead if that is a concern, or restrict it to certain IP addresses

My configuration: BEELINK MINI PC (UBUNTU) + KODI + ORICO 5 Bay External Hard Drive Enclosure

    I don't use funscripts (yet).

Damn that's kind of funny though! So weird DNLA doesn't have password protection functionality

I have an unRAID server and setup a network share that is hidden and also username/pw protected, can also be limited to guest and also read-only or r/w - highly recommend unRAID!
