My first headset was the gearvr I wanna say this was the first stand alone but I've aways watched laying down comfy with my head on a pillow. Rarely did I ever watch seated or standing. All positions were watched laying down.

            You completely ignored that he said "especially Handy users". Standalone headsets dont make it any easier to mount your Handy in a handsfree fashion in your bed. In fact, it's nearly impossible. Desk mounts, however, are pretty much the way to go for hands-free.

            I'm not even sure what you mean by "new standalone headsets" as Quest 2 has been out for years as well as Oculus Go before that.
