I like the idea which is why I do all of this on PC beforehand. When I get into VR, everything is ready for me to be in and out, especially now with the 2-hour battery limit from my Quest3. Time-stamp browsing on PC (feature now available in DeoVR) is something I do separately from watching videos in VR. It takes just a couple minutes, allows me to daily keep up with all the new releases, and gives me something to look forward to.
Rather than adding all new releases to a playlist, I'll favorite or add to my watch-list just the last video where I stopped so that I can easily find it and resume with previewing the newest releases. I believe a bookmark feature has been requested before, but just having all new releases added to a playlist is something I don't think playlists were designed for.
My suggestions would be, for "SLR videos" go to the SLRO studio page and sort by new, and for the "JAV" to add only the videos you plan to watch, after a quick preview. These are our hand-picked videos that make the cut, and make the playlist idea special and manageable. Here is a related link to be aware of: Scene Limit in Playlists and Favorites.
