Alpha Passthrough - Missing via local HTTP link

Hi,

I have passthrough video file that has "_alpha" in filename. When viewing directly from local Quest 3 storage, the alpha channel works ok. However when I view the file via URL link on NAS (e.g. http://192.168.../video_alpha.mp4), there is no (A) button present to enable alpha channel.

Tested on newly released version DeoVR 13.12.2.1. I suppose that version fixed similar issue with DLNA videos, although is the fix including also local HTTP links?

timdey837 I am curious, how do you open local http links in DeoVR; do you need to type in the URL for each video?

Hey timdey837 , sorry for the late reply here! This is the information the team passed:

I believe the behavior of direct HTTP links may not be optimal. We currently don't parse these names. One potential solution could involve implementing a DeoVR JSON and placing the link there for better handling.

With that being said, the team will put this on the feature request board so hopefully this feature will be implemented in the future.

SchnuppiLilac I have Synology NAS server with virtual host pointed to a directory. Then it displays a content of that directory as HTML page with web links (via directory listing in Apache).
