I appreciate that SLRO is finding their identity and niche in the market. I'm confident that the team will deliver on the vision. I only have 2 thoughts on execution.

  1. Know your talent - Ales Nash is a genius. Give him creative freedom on the execution. It's going to take experimenting and more imagination to make the end user's boring bedroom be a production class porn set. This means more direction, more attention to detail, more immersion and interaction from the actresses, need more imagination with camera angles, creative use of stunt cock and potentially toys/ fuck machine. Fuck machine is unexplored IMHO in VR porn you can do lots of immersive scenes with this.

  2. Know your clientele. The average VR user here will probably have a Quest 3 and will be using it in their bedroom or living room, maybe bathroom. It's just awkward to stand in your kitchen jerking off to VR porn and maybe other parts of the house. That said, PT doesn't do well with dim lighting and is very dependent on boundaries set. This is especially important if you're hooked up with a cable to your PC. So when planning out these scenes have careful consideration. PT scenes seem immersive from a strip club sense but the dark environment takes away from the AR.

This is definitely territory that needs more innovation and creativity. I'm looking to SLR to really experiment here and find their niche.

Also, more often do I find more people being a fan of Alex's work especially in the fetish incorporated department. There's another opportunity there for the SLR team to write scenes for that and explore what can do well in the market. As a lifetime subscriber, I'm a big fan of Alex's work.

    LordCrash I’ve told you before why I don’t like him and it’s not just about a certain position, though that is certainly part of it.

        wenworth it’s a number of things I don’t like. Him not shooting doggy style well (when he even bothers to do it) is certainly one of them. Using the same male talent in every scene is another. His scenes are boring enough without having the same guy in every one.

        I hate how he shoots seated positions too, it’s such a steep close camera angle that, in his seated blowjobs, you often can’t actually see the dick in the girls mouth, you just see the back of the girls head moving up and down. You often can’t see the penetration in seated cowgirl positions either. Then there’s the weird armpit fetish stuff and the equally weird kissing sections where the male talent suddenly disappears from the scene and the girl just kisses thin air. He also makes too many mistakes and screws scenes up like that recent Penny Barber one which is not an isolated incident. That doesn’t happen with other professional directors.

        I would take the director from Wankz, POVR, Milfvr, Virtual Taboo, Czechvr, DarkroomVR, VRBangers, VRConk, XSinsVR, Lethal Hardcore, VRPlayful, Fuckpass, VRHush and pretty much any other premium studio you care to name over him apart from NAVR and BadoinkVR. I don’t get the hero worship he gets on here. I think he’s poor most of the time.

              Respectfully gotta disagree here. I don't think Q3 is the majority yet but if anyone could share some data about this, especially as it pertains to SLR, I'm open to changing my mind.

                    Hello, I joined primarily as SLR are leading the way with PT content. PT just feels more real to me.

                    A few points:

                    1. There seem to be no SLR PT standing scenes, especially standing BJ scenes. (Which is odd as the SLR guide said standing facials were apparently especially satisfying in PT.

                    2. I wish to download the highest 8k quality version of a video, however the full 10gb is too large and the 2gb 1900p is only other option.

                    Can you please add max quality shorter versions of the PT videos, such as an 8k 10 minute version. (Can just include a few minutes of each scene).

                    Or alternatively could you please offer longer 8k trailers that can be downloaded by subscribers.

                          Regarding point 2, that’s the minimum size of the file with a 30 mbps bitrate. If we lower the bitrate the quality will start to decrease.
                          I see an option of making an automated option of creating a shorter version on the server, but that’s need to be automated. The idea is we have all the action tags on the server, all is needed is to reduce by half all the long actions such as cowgirls, doggy and missionary and compile those parts together for downloadable file. But that needs to be implemented

                            Wondering what makes 10gb too large, do you have internet download limits or not much storage remaining on your device?

                            A lot of people will download videos in max quality to PC/storage server/NAS and then stream it on the local network to the VR headset over WiFi - that way you don't ever need to use up VR headset storage

                              if Meta are not doing deep discounts for Black Friday/Cyber Monday, then I would expect that the sales trajectory for Quest3 is probably on par with what they were expecting. It's a fabulous headset. The more I use it, the more I enjoy it not just for porn and I am pretty sure at this stage I will not need the elite strap

LHVR use the same guy a lot but he is better than most VR guys as he can shoot a decent load every time. They generally have the best facials in VR so I understand why they stick with him.

                                  The tadpole thing is probably easy money. The guys are older and probably so grateful to get to be with a hot girl that they treat them incredibly well and never step out of line.                                     And I've told you before that while some of the stuff you say applies to some of his scenes his stuff actually does clicks when it clicks. True VR porn magic. On most other sites you've mentioned it rarely ever clicks even on a small margin. It's just standard VR porn, nothing exciting or especially intimate or interesting about it. You might enjoy it, sure, especially if you like the girl, but it doesn't get you going like only true intimate VR porn can. It's a mystery to me how somebody couldn't see and respect that.

                                          LordCrash It’s all subjective, you like his directing style (when it clicks) and I don’t but don’t try to make out that it’s all about how he shoots one position when you know that is not the case and don’t tell me what I like and don’t like.

                                          Just because you like something, it doesn’t make it better than stuff other people like. Alex Nash is not objectively better than anyone else just because you think he is. Other scenes are not “standard” compared to his genius just because you say so. If other studios scenes are standard then he falls short of that standard in my opinion, he doesn’t exceed it.

                                          You (and others) may find “VR magic” in what he does and feel more intimacy. I do not, I just find his stuff generally boring, badly shot and frustrating to watch as I can’t see anything half the time plus he focuses almost exclusively on cowgirl positions which get boring after 2 hours. It’s nothing to do with me not liking intimacy in VR, I just don’t like his style.

                                          Plenty of other scenes have great intimacy, are much more exciting, accentuate the girls body more and make better use of the time. VRPlayful made a 2 hour plus scene full of intimacy and it was light years ahead of anything Alex Nash has done in my opinion. As was their Veronica Leal squirting scene which was super intimate in another way. Not that a scene needs to be long to be interesting or intimate.

                                          At the end of the day though, you like him and that’s great, I wish I did too but unfortunately for me I don’t. That means when you say “we just want VRSpy style Alex Nash scenes” That’s not what I want at all. That’s also a bigger problem for me as there’s literally no one else working for SLR now apart from passthrough guy and, to be honest, none of the other directors they’ve had were much good either. I’m probably in the minority but I think Alex Mack was getting better and had much more variety in the models he chose so it’s a shame he’s been let go prematurely in my opinion. He wasn’t perfect by any means but I thought he was improving and was at least a contrast to what Nash is doing.

                                              I just went through the slr-scences I've watched (the like-marker is actually my watched-marker) and was quite surprised how many scenes by which director I'v seen:

                                              Well... Obviously I don't gel with his castings. This one scene was mediocre but I can't judge him solely based on that.

                                              OnTheTelly: 10
                                              Most of his scenes were good or great, some were misses. The variety of his scenes is definitely missed.

                                              Simsense Media: 13
                                              I was a bit surprised that quite a lot of my favorites were shot by Simsense. Which is bad for me as I don't care about passthrough at all.

                                              Alex Nash: 18
                                              For me Nash has the best castings. The scenes themselves are sometimes okay, sometimes good and sometimes great. But I have to admit that I'm a bit bored by his standard formula.

                                              So yeah, with OnTheTelly gone and Simsense shooting mainly PT SLR has definitely lost attraction for me. In my opinion additional directors are sorely needed.

Do you actually watch some of his scenes, especially his VRSpy scenes, or is this just some "I watched two scenes from him two years ago and now I just claim that every other scene of him was exactly the same" kind of argument? I do understand that you don't like his style and that's fine but stating that he did cookie cutter standard scenes is simply a ridiculous claim. If you blame him for doing that you must basically blame almost everybody else in the industry to do the same, only to a bigger extend - which is a pretty pointless statement to begin with.

Well, to make it short, you can't. 95% of the stuff on the sites you mentioned consists of a small intro, some standard positions in a standard setting, cumshot, done.

I already mentioned that I want to have different directors on SLR as well. You know that I miss onthetelly, for example. But my statement wasn't more over the top or inappropriate than your "Nash is a terrible director". So before you lecture me on personal taste and everything else, take your own best advice. Like you told me, Nash isn't a terrible director just because you say so.
