When going to the 'app' section of the website, it simply tells you to use 'DeoVR' when selecting Oculus Go. I've been doing so, but performance is horrible. Maybe the first 2-3 videos play smooth at 60 fps, and after that, lots of stutter/drops. Viewport stutters when looking around, and streaming at 1920p makes everything go 20fps. Close and reopen DeoVR every couple videos fixes the issue, but that's super inconvenient, and kinda kills the VR immersion (caching issues / memory leaks?)
I just found out through the forums that there actually IS a Go app. Finding the download links wasn't easy. I first found the dedicated Go app, which was depricated... Then, I found v88 of the merged Go/Quest app.. Installed it..
and guess what..
Perfectly smooth 60fps playback and streaming!! Viewport mode lets me look around without buffering, streaming 1920 is very smooth.. it's SO much better than DeoVR.
TL;DR: DeoVR is *** on the Go, please add download link for Go/Quest app on slr.com/app page!
