Sounds like other sites might be offering them better deals on their content? That or if they end up also reducing their content on other sites, it could be a sign they want to sell their catalogue

Not really. They decided to remove the scenes and host them exclusively on their own site, so the ball is pretty much in their court on whether they want to return the scenes to SLR in the future.
