...just to say, thank you so much for giving me an entire 24 hours notice that you needed to pull @vrfanservice's material. Obviously, i'm not permanently fixed to my machine, so i didn't see the notice till it was too late.

Fucking brilliant, what a shit show....

...i would literally have bought every script on the spot, like a fool i assumed that the material was safe on here. Or that there would at least be the usual 10-day notice. Of course, i think it's becoming apparent how ephemeral in nature this site is, and how impossible it is to say with certainty whether anything you love today will be here tomorrow. Whole studios get dropped, entire scripting catalogues get wiped, the comments are full of people lamenting the lack of scripts since Bumdude left. Have you thought to rescript 'Intimate Encounter at the Onyx Spa'? Of course not.

The WHOLE FUCKING POINT of having an interactive VR streaming service is that you don't have to spend ages downloading stuff, or buying scripts. i really bought into your stupid model of 'pay scripters for streaming'. When all this time i should have just been buying scripts, and downloading the good stuff.

Well, it's all gone now.

Fuck you SLR, i honestly feel i've sunk a lifetime subscription into a ridiculous fantasy now...

I don’t disagree that there should be more notice when they take scenes down, one day is ridiculous. Other times, there’s literally no warning at all when they tweak their compliance thresholds. Some of those scenes have been up for months/years, you can’t tell me they can’t give us a 7 day warning that they are amending compliance and a list of scenes that are being removed.

That being said, streaming services (porn or otherwise) don’t keep content forever especially content licenced from third party studios. That stuff is always subject to agreements which can change over time. That’s why I’m still one of those dinosaurs that still buy cds and dvds of my favourite music and entertainment rather than rely solely on streamers. It’s also why I download my favourite stuff that I like off porn sites, especially if I think it’s edgy and possibly at risk of being removed. That’s not to say I’ve never been burned and won’t be again.

So yeah, thinking stuff will be here to stream forever and you don’t need to download/purchase scenes is not realistic. It is realistic though to expect them give us a decent amount of warning if they’re going to remove content.

Relevant comment in another relevant thread, but tl;dr is that we will try to provide more notice going forward on the rare occasions that a studio leaves SLR, though it will not always be possible.

You can share any further comments in that linked thread, since this thread follows the same "central theme".
