Filming the stuff in a "realistic" distance is imho bollocks while we still have a really limited FOV in VR googles...

        When I watch SLR scenes lately, I have to move my head around constantly in cowgirl to see anything worthwile. The girls kiss?                   I agree and disagree. While I like closeup positions where the girl fills the whole screen, hell it is VR I do not have to see the whole girl at once, I can choose which part I wanna look at at any time, the cowgirl camera in said scene makes no sense at all.

                  It is either way too low or way too close. If we assume the male is leaning back the height is right, but it is way too close. If we assume the male is sitting upright, the distance is perfect, but it is way too low, it should be head height if we assume a sitting position, you should look her right into the eyes not onto the tits, or almost belly.

                  While in some positions camera positions can be difficult, it is really hard to understand why it is so hard in sitting/lying cowgirl, I mean just position the camera in front of his head, or at very least in a position his head could be, and not over his chest.

In VR you can move your head or use the tilt functions to adjust your view depending on what you want to see.                         My issue is that, if the camera man zooms in and you’re too close, it no longer feels real. Like you said, other major studios hit the sweet spot pretty regularly so it's not like people don't know how to shoot immersive VR porn...
