Valve Index Gaze keeps sending inputs, can't navigate menu.

I'm using this App for a while now with my Valve Index. It worked fine all the time. Since a few days though it's impossible to use the app for me, which is really pissing me off, sorry (when you have premium this isn't acceptable).

The problem is that wherever I look with my Index, the app thinks I'm selecting videos with my view, but it keeps selecting and deselecting stuff. I assume this has something to do with "gaze controls" or something? Which I never used and don't want to use, and it's not working anyway.

When I click the trigger on my controller, I can see the ingame 3D model for a millisecond and it disappears again, because the "gaze" keeps sending inputs, overriding everything and selecting any menu points I'm looking at a 100 times.

crow There shouldn't be any gaze input with the Valve Index. Which controller are you using, does it work well with other apps? We had a similar report, but it turned out the gamepad was faulty in that case.

Hi, thanks for the replay. I'm using the normal Vive Index Controllers, the Knuckles.
I tried both of them. Recharged them. It happens even when both Controllers are turned off. I'm looking at things and it keeps selecting them. I never used any other apps, just played some games which don't have this problem (but SLR also didn't have this problem for months!)

Strange, did you already try re-installing the app? Also, do you have the option to try using the app with a different controller, like a gamepad, to see if there is any difference?

I did try reinstalling the app. I didn't know the app actually supports gamepads. That's interesting. I started using my Nintendo Switch controller on my PC since a few days, maybe when that is connected...

Hahaha, yep. That's it! Unplugged my Switch Pro Controller and it works normal again!
Thanks for the help. This isn't a big deal, but maybe it still should be fixed 😉
