error applying update - access to the path denied

This started like 3 days ago during an update. It gets all the way through, then says "error applying update - access to the path denied"

Tried running as an administrator, reinstalling, and reinstalling to a different location. When I reinstalled it to a different location it did start running, but using almost all of my CPU and lagging even at the menu. When I reinstalled back to its native location in appdata, I got the error again

dradical sounds like your hard drive is being tied up or on its way out (you might need a replacement drive)

Try powering off your PC fully and try installing to an entirely different drive which should work again

RealcumberScripts So I tried that, and put it on a new drive. It did work for a while, until another update came up. Then I had the same problem. It looks like I have to reinstall it every update. Im also not putting it in a root file where it might need special permissions.

edit - actually the reinstall failed, access to path denied when appllying the initial update. I tried uninstalling then reinstalling in a new folder on that drive, and that worked.

edit 2 - it wont actually open after that update. And I cant find the download for a fresh SLR app - now its only showing me DeoVr
