Please add that Fair Use Counter!

Back almost a year ago you promised to add a counter for your "fair use" policy.

The counter was to count down until the six day download period was refreshed.

Now, it's not like I intend to download anywhere near the 30 downloads per 6-day period, or whatever the total turns out to be...

But, a little counter, which your highly competent staff could easily program, would be a nice way to gain perspective on how many of your films I've downloaded.

It would be really fantastic if you could get on to this matter soon.

[deleted] It has been there a long time. Click on the download button and just above the yellow triangle it tells you how many you have left.

We discussed a counter that includes when the period of 144 hours ends. How can I judge how much I've watched if I don't know when the 144h period ends? I don't write these things on my calendar.

They need something like

You have 30 downloads remaining in this time period (144 hours), which ends on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 12 p.m. Pacific time.

You have 30 downloads remaining in this time period (144 hours), which ends in X days, Y hours, Z minutes.

That's a very basic script to add which would enhance the user experience all around...

I discussed this with @doublevr in November or December. But I was too busy with work to offer further feedback.

Will have it like: X downloads remaining in the next 144 hours.

After the first download it will look like
X downloads remaining till HHMMSS DD/MM

because it's always 144 hours from your first download.

I usually never see the download limits but one of my drives died 🙁 so I'd like this feature as well.

I think everything is in place already. If I remember correctly, before starting your last three downloads you will be informed about the remaining time until refresh. So the problem could be solved by showing this information always, not just for the last three.

Showing my support for this also. I remember the conversation about this when the download limit was dropped from 30 per 3 days to 30 per 6 days. It's an unnecessary annoyance to only be aware of when the counter will reset on the final 3 downloads. Sometimes I rush a bunch of downloads just to find out I still have 2 days left and could have spread them out more. I don't know the technicalities, but it seems this fix would be a little help to spread out server load. Members don't have to rush a bunch of downloads, thinking they're almost out of time, if they know how much time they have left.
