App 13.10 released (Multi-axis scripts)

Aha finally, this behavior was completely throwing me off causing me to exit out of the video I was watching when I was just trying to close the player UI.

Right off bat, I think the reset arrows on the first three sliders are un necessary, i think having the + - benefits more then the reset arrows on them sliders, if users gotta redo it... I normally just hit the reset at the bottom and start over.

And I messing with it right now as I'm commenting about it, and yes please put + - on all sliders. I already felt the frustration having to pull on a slider to the # I want it on but sometimes the # will move when letting go the trigger button and at that point I normally would just hit the - or + to get on the # I want it on

Hell I forgot what fall off was called, next the range will be spectrum or dimension? Lol 🤣

The spectrum "range" lol, is not matching up with previous version. But I do notice the pt option work a lil better then 13.09 🤔

But a positive is all previous presetted videos are still in good shape they still look the same. Just the range # is different.

And I'm not to sure how I feel about the fall off back to 100. I'll keep using it, I like to ghost my image sometimes, idk... this fall off seems different, I'll mess with it more.

Did yall tweak the horizontal off set? I notice going full max to the right or left I don't get blurry vision like it use too, looks good, still works great resizing if needed. 👍

My default - 0.80 zoom is fixed, all videos start with my preset 👍

And I found a glitch on my Pico 4 today and it also happened on my quest 2 with the 13.10 version, I took off my headset and put it back on but the picture was stuck wouldn't move like normal vr. Gotta be sum glitch cuz it happen on both my headsets today. If it happens again I'll report it again. I tried doing it again but it never happened. 🤷‍♂️

That's all got right now. Seems Ok, except for the missing - + on first three sliders in the pt opinions.

I'll report back if I find anything out of the norm.

With an OSR2+, I have JoyFunPlayer 4.0.0 running on the computer, in deovr I can select a local video, and it plays with the script. So all is good there.

But for the OSR2+, from inside deovr, how do I adjust the depth, and switch to/from edging mode, adjust offset, I could do this with handy, where is it for OSR2+? I don't see any controls?

Also, for local scripts, what is the naming convention for the multi-axis script?

Luminance heh, we will put it back, it shouldn't be renamed
I will find a solution for +- probably it wont make it to official 13.10 release, we are also working on better slider manipulation, but its not close to release
How it works shouldn't change at all, the code is the same
For the range and falloff, we only removed useless values:
- Setting range over 750 rendered all pixels invisible, so we made it stop at that value
- Same for falloff anything between 0 and 900 was pretty much useless, so now you see 900-1000 range, but we offset it to 0-100
We didn't touch horizontal offset, if you could elaborate what is different? We did change the position, its now seconds last, not last

Yall must of tweaked the horizontal off set cuz now I can use the slider and the image will smoothly decrease or increase in size, before if I used the slider that shit hurt my eyes so I would use the - +. But looks good how it works on this version 👍

Well something changed about it 🤔
Before if I moved the slider the image would move kinda fast in size causing my eyes to hurt, so I would just use the - + to move one or two notches and that worked well.

Now with 13.10 if i use and move the slider its easier to look at the image as it changes in size and not causing eye discomfort.

That's how I can explain it. 🤷‍♂️

If your talking about how when you move the slider to a # you want, example say I move the slider to # 50 but once I let go the trigger it'll sometimes move to like 60, on this 13.10 the slider does move a Lil better but still jumps around after trigger release but not as much as previous.

I would have that problem on the fall off, I'd pull the slider to where I like it on my image but once I release the trigger it'll jump to different #, at that point I'd use the - + to adjust it to my liking.

OK this might get confusing now, but I checked 13.09 and the horizontal off set works like 13.10

I have 13.06 and checked it and that one and previous versions before did hurt my eyes and was blurry when moving sliders and blurry all the way max to the left or right.

I guess I never notice the change on 13.09 cuz I always use the + - and never used the slider.

This mysterious change to the horizontal off set must of happen before 13.10.

But huh, horizontal off set works good tho

Figure it out, previous versions before 13.09 if you move the horizontal both images move.

I noticed on .09 and .10 if you move the horizontal only the right image moves, causing it to move smoothly and less double vision and less eye discomfort.

I figured it out by closing my eyes one at a time and notice the left image stays in place when moving the horizontal on version .09 and .10 🤷‍♂️

But It's works good 👍

Been using 13.10 pt options, so far works good, never mind my comment about the resest arrow, hardly noticed them, but I do miss the + - on the first three sliders. But over all its working pretty good, the deo vr app in general working pretty good, i haven't come across any major bugs yet.

Imo, I think the falloff at 1000 worked better, cuz it took out a little bit with each - click, this version .10 at 100 one click of the - can take out to much around the edges.

I was wondering if "falloff" should be renamed to "edge up" or "edging" or "smooth out" cuz that's what we doing with it is smoothing out the edges. Idk...just a suggestion

Vrsumo2017 Hey, when you are setting new falloff values, it is same as you setting range from 900 to 1000 in old version. We just removed the 0 to 900 part.

I mean you can fall off a cliff, fall off the bed or fall off the edge, 🤔🤣 maybe that's what they ment.

But I was thinking of it like a hair cut, edge me up or blend in my edges more, lol idk 🤷‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️😆

I call it ghosting, but I like to make it see through sometimes, during a laying cg you kinda blend your own body in with male model, and you can see how the model lookes positioned on your lap, it's awesome. But I go back in forth, I'll ghost it and then go back to solid. Just depends.

Plus when ghosting it kinda give it that hologram-ish look you would see in movies.

Really think it should stay at 1000 the way it is with 13.09 👍

On it so the see through approach worked out good, you can actually move the falloff to the right to make it a Lil more solid if you want

With quest 2 yes its better with low light
Pico 4 needs light

But with quest 3 coming lot of users probably be upgrading so it'll look pretty good with q3.

Vrsumo2017 I got the official 13.10 update on Q2 yesterday and had a quick look at the revised PT controls. When I tried the first video, it seemed to me that the update has opened up some new PT behaviour. Moving the falloff slider from 100 to like 50 but not touching the others created a very nice ghosting image (even better with a certain level of lighting) with little background. I have never noticed this behaviour before. Has falloff worked in this way all the time or is this a result of the update?
