Suggest background composition themes for Passthrough videos
why does slr insist on doing everything possible to lower the quality of content? this would essentially be like a dollar store version of the the current non-passthrough videos... with low quality backgrounds and background lighting that doesnt convincingly match up with the lighting on the model. vrcosplayx has been doing this exact same thing in their recent videos and it looks horrifically bad.

doublevr i know it wont be because (a) its not technically possible to do this perfectly and (b) slr has technical/quality issues that exist right now that are being ignored.

because half of what slr is focused on is just bad experiments on things that only a small % of users would even use. there are so many opportunities to improve or fix other things that everyone uses.

doublevr If the alpha channel PT videos in non-PT mode will continue to look like being shot inside a grey cube, I think a plain black background would already be an improvement (I am thinking of 'A Private Dance with Kay Lovely'). Any other backgrounds - sure, it works in big budget movies but I would agree that the latest experiments in VR porn did not look so great. But then again, probably any non-distracting background would be better than the grey box (which for sure is an improvement over the bilious green screen).

Would it be possible to bring Alpha channel to the older pass through videos (e.g. alpha channel on Katrina Reed's video that was demoed a few weeks ago)?
Regarding scene composition, I think rendering the whole movie will be a bit better from a performance and experience standpoint.
Chromakeying and replacing the background in real-time may degrade performance significantly on quest 2 (chroma keying itself judders from time to time).

The only background I want enjoy in pass through is my own bedroom.
But as I once asked before if possible, it be cool to add my own bed room background in the quest 2 due to its black and Grey filter, but now I'm using pico 4 I really have no use for that idea 
But I like the idea of adding an 2d video, that be cool to add sum 2d porn playing in the background.

doublevr as long as we have the no background option, this is harmless enough. I think the whole CGI background thing has been done elsewhere and looks awful so people are understandably nervous about it. I thought the recent passthrough scene, with the dark background instead of the green screen, was watchable as it was so, as long as the in camera dark background is still an option, experiment away with other options and we’ll see if they look ok.
I would love to see the ability to replace the background with another video layer. I know most of your content is shot on the K2 pro, so I would like to see some people who still own this camera shoot some quick footage in wild locations such as public spaces or landmarks from the laying down perspective that we can either play or loop in the background. Imagine one of your passthrough scenes with the Eifel tower in the background or from an exotic beach somewhere, or hell in the middle of a shopping center or parking lot haha. I know that the position of the camera changes several times in each scene but if we could either shoot our own points of view with a K2 pro or if people start sharing some scenes from all the different points of view, we can easily compile the background layer to also change in each change of view. I dont own the k2 pro anymore but I have a few shots of my living room where I simply keyed the background to one of your videos on premiere pro and it looked fantastic, much better quality than any crappy Meta 2 passthrough or any other headset in the market, it was true k2 pro quality background and it was like I was doing the pornstar in the middle of my own living room with the best quality possible. I really hope this feature pans out, trust me, people dont understand how good the passthrough looks with full resolution and camera matched footage vs crappy headset passthrough, its insane and until people experience it they wont understand it.
