SideQuest SLR for Quest - unsupported video errors

I decided to try the SLR app on my Quest by installing it through SideQuest. I'm new to VR so I wanted to test and decide if I want to subscribe. Unfortunately I a bad first experience using the App - none of the free videos have thumbnail images and none of the videos play. I get the same error for all "Unsupported video!" after a 5-10 second black screen. The other video tabs like Featured, Premium display thumbnails and play the teaser/preview videos fine.

I installed sidequest on my mac, but can't get it to connect to my quest. I tried turning developer mode on and off and rebooting my headset. I'm not sure but it seems like these different sideload options don't work on mac. Would love getting some help to get this app installed

[unknown] I had to use my pc to get it to work. Maybe it’s an issue with Mac OS.
