Not sure how many Quest Pro users there are out there, but Meta just released their Beta v51 firmware that brings local dimming to the Pro when used along with your PC via a Link cable.
Here’s a YouTube video with a little more info about it

Keep in mind, this is Beta firmware. So there is the possibility it could break some apps or games. So install at your own risk.
That being said, if you’re still interested, installation is pretty straightforward. You have to enable Public Test Channel in both the headset and desktop app. And install the Beta firmware on both headset and PC app. Then you’ll be good to go.
I installed it last night, and I can confirm local dimming now works in DeoVR. Most noticeable during the title clip at the beginning of a scene. Blacks are much better now. Not quite OLED blacks. There’s still a little haloing because of the relatively low number of dimming zones. But much better than before.
The dimming isn’t as noticeable during the actual scene because things are usually well lit in VR porn scenes. But contrast does seem to be better.
Anyways, just a heads up if you have a Quest Pro. And you don’t mind using it with an Oculus Link cable to your PC.
