  • SLR apk/mobile app won't start

After installing SLR on my Samsung s22 ultra
I tap it to start and I am asked to allow access to my files which I do.
Then I see a black screen. It stays on the black screen and does nothing.
If I close it and try to reopen it it goes to the black screen for about 1 or 2 seconds and then the app closes itself.
I tried to clear the data and cache,
I tried restarting the phone,
I tried changing resolution of the phone,
I tried uninstalling cardboard VR,
I tried reinstalling the app,
I made sure no other apps were running at the same time,
But the app always closes itself just a second after I open it. And when I reinstall it it asks me to allow access to files I click allow and then it sits on a black screen forever.

This is my second s22 ultra and it worked fine on my first one. This one is the same exact model as the first.

doublevr what do you mean a while ago? Because I subscribed last year and had the same phone and downloaded the APK from the exact same place on the SLR website.. it works completely fine no issues.
Now it does not and I no longer have a reason to subscribe and I no longer am able to use the videos I've already purchased...

    EVERYONE has a f****** smartphone!
I already paid over $1,000 for this phone I'm not going to waste more money on a Oculus to watch this crap through what looks like a screen door with a lesser resolution. Or another $1,000 on a pimax.

Rale3 i guess you dont understand vr at all then if you think watching on a phone is the same as watching with a headset...

Rale3 The reality is that we can't continue supporting iOS/Android when many of the major phone-based headsets have stopped their own support of their devices (we can't support what they won't support themselves).

I joined SLR a little over a year ago, and I believe support for iOS/Android versions of the app stopped even prior to that, so it's definitely been a while. You can reach out to support here and we'll see what we can do about your account if you're not interested in upgrading to a dedicated, supported VR headset.

LaceyMayer Hey, not sure what your problem is, but we stopped supporting SLR app on Android. You can use the HapticsConnect app if you want to watch the content in "flat" mode while using the toy connected to your phone.
