This is a great discussion and I'm mostly just over here listening and considering your perspectives, but I did want to share a quote I heard a while back about realism in film design/art direction that seems related: "When you imagine a dozen roses in a movie, you're actually imagining two dozen roses."

Verisimilitude vs literal reality...I think creators have been trying to get their hands around that question since the cave painting days. There's no "right answer" but it's fascinating to explore.

I will say...it does seem to me that if you have to choose the lesser of two evils, generally, too far away is more tolerable than too close. But people are wildly different heights with wildly different body types, so there's no "correct" placement. Ultimately there should be a goldilocks zone/sweet spot we need to stay inside of.

I do think there’s a reason most directors settle on a position that is slightly farther than in real life though.

@alexnash This is the third time today that I have posted about this. The description of the most recent SLR scene "Modern Family" reads like the old Playboy stories. It had me so excited to see this epic scene. Don't get me wrong it was still good but 2 minutes in and they start saying how they are your step mom and aunt. My heart sunk, I couldn't unhear it. I wanted my girlfriends not my mom.

So please make what was written in the description. It would be the biggest scene ever on SLR if you made it like this scene but with girlfriends instead.

@alexnash thank you for everything you do. Got a little something to say about "Modern Family". I'd slightly disagree with @rerun119 above a bit simply because

1) people's preferences differ and matter and

2) there needs to be a balance.

First of all the scene is superb and I loved it. And I loved it more due to the addition of the stepmom and stepaunt role and dynamic. Does this mean I'd want to have sex with my stepmoms or step aunts or step siblings if I had them in my family in real life? Hell no. But because it's a taboo thing, it makes the scene way more exciting and way less monotonous for me to watch. I've had 7 girlfriends in my life and they tired me out lol, and in VR I can have something different to experiment with safely and legally, thanks to scenes and plots like yours.

It's pretty much why games like GTA 5 and all other shooty shooty pew pew games are so popular. We don't take it seriously. Yes we mow down artificial people aka NPCs in these games with our cars, but of course we are fully aware it's all just a fantasy, an escape from reality. Now make an entertainment video game where you have to follow the traffic rules like you would have to in real life and find out for yourself how many copies you'd end up selling.

But I also have to respect @rerun119's preference.

So what's the solution to this? I have no idea, but you might. DoubleVR was talking about AI voice synthesizer or something like that approximately a month ago I'm sure. May be in future customers/users can configure the performers' roles? So if I ticked a box next to "Pristing will be your gf", that's what she will say and call herself (and others will too) throughout the entire scene. And if I ticked the "Pristine is your stepmomma", that's what will happen in the scene.

Or perhaps you guys could get into making interactive, game-like movies like what Dyzered.com is doing?

For now, both @rerun119 and I will have to accept that given the technology we have available in the VR pornography-sphere, it's impossible to make everyone happy.

Vatsyayana I'm aware of that. It's the only place that I could tell Nash to make what was written in the description. The whole way it was shot with the 3 seperate scenes and the build up were great. The camera was just too far away and the girlfriend part would have made it a lot better IMO.

@bigloverofcoffee69 I really like your idea of the AI voice thing. I have a feeling that is a long long way away. I wouldn't have had such a feeling about the whole thing if it didn't say the part about two girlfriends that you have sex with everyday. Then its my step mom and aunt (that I have never had sex with) that throw me for a disappointing loop.

I also liked your explanation about the video games. It makes since from that point of view. I will say that shooter games are the equivalent to step porn. Its everywhere. If its the fantasy of the whole thing that people like then they should be pretty happy with VR porn cause they want me to bang my step daughter or mom on what feels like every third video. It just hard for me to believe it is that popular (maybe i'm wrong cause I don't have that fantasy).

Until they come up with AI voice then I think they could still do it if they just said some things differently. Like don't say what my relationship is to them. Just say "honey I have missed you today", "we love spending time with you". Never say aunt or girlfriend. That way we all can make it whatever we want it to be. It works for me with the JAV videos. I have no idea what they are saying so I can make up the story in my own head.

vprnbm armpit stuff just out of fucking control, am OK with throwing whoever likes it a bone and having 2 minutes of it somewhere in the vid but having it spread throughout is offputting.

I recently requed-up Dirty Laundry 3 (I believe it was) and there was an armpit section. It seems to me the key here is not to force the viewer into an armpit only option. In this scene Nash provided not only armpit licking but also provided beautifully framed shoots of the ladies faces and breasts at the same time. This gives the viewer options in these situations. I actually really enjoyed this part of the shoot, ... I even took a couple licks.
