I can't be the only one facing this issue. I've been using the Watch Later functionality for a while now, and I noticed this strange behavior on the Quest app that doesn't seem to happen on the web.
I add stuff to Watch Later, open the app, and go to that playlist; the newest videos are not on the first or last page but rather on some random page between those two.
All items in that playlist are sorted by date added (web, looking good there), but when I open the app, I cannot figure out where my recently added videos are. It seems that the default sorting is set to date released or something. I don't know. Plus, the inability to filter and sort stuff in playlists (Quest app) makes this issue a huge pain point for my "daily" usage.
Can you guys do something with it? I hope it's just adding an extra param to the API fetch operation and calling it a day (you already have sorting implemented in other parts of the app and web).
