  • App 13.7 released (Haptics - T-Code/OSR & Handy)

Sandi_SLR if I visit deovr.com on my phone in a internet browser, I see alot videos there that don't show up in the headset in deovr app.

Vrsumo2017 Hm are you maybe talking about not seeing premium videos? If not, please be specific, which video do you see on web and not in app?

Didn't read every post, so might be mentioned already.

script doesn't always start, or starts delayed (Handy.)
Unconfirmed: Handy behaves differently. Some speed changes in the same direction are skipped. - This could be mechanical cause instead of the app. Will Check with 'Handy'.

I had an error pop up saying something about unrecognized data, or instruction. But other than that the video and Handy kept going.

Sandi_SLR well open deo on your phone and look at "new" videos and have the app open in headset and compare you'll notice sum videos not showing up in the deovr app

      Example there's a channel called
Puttystudios and diosaslatinadsvr I see their videos in the "new" section in the web browser version but in the vr app I have to search for their channel.

And the videos that are premium don't show up in deovr app, in web browser If I click on the video it'll tell me it premium.

Idk, anyway thought I just let yall know. 🤷‍♂️👍

maybe the deovr refreshes later, but I now for sure I've never seen diosas videos in vr app.

      Edit:
Oh yeah, yup...see if I search explore in vr app I find a lot of premiums but these never show up on deovr app, like vrkings, never seen their channel in the vr app. So how users gonna ever know these premiums videos exist if they never on main page in "new" or "trending" section in deovr app.

I didn't even know vrkings was on deovr till now cus I seen it in the web browser version. 🤷‍♂️

I also had a crash with the autofocus yesterday. Nevertheless, the feature is really cool and offers real added value. Hope you can fix this quickly. Is there a way to reactivate this locally as experimental?

blaze466 Hey, I am sorry this happened to you, we did not reset or change any button keybinds, it could be a bug, did it happen right after update? Which platform?

linuxguy yea we are working on the fix, hope to get it back soon.

Sandi_SLR we did not reset or change any button keybinds

Well, the 'back' button when in local folders view used to always go up one folder, aka to the parent folder or ".." but now it does that only until your go back to the first viewed folder (when you first opened up local folders view). After that it changes to going back to the browser/SLR scenes frontpage. This mixed behaviour is very annoying when you're browsing around in local folders, the 'back' button should never switch view/mode to the browser at all imo and always be the function to go to the parent folder which afaik was how it always worked until recently.

Sandi_SLR No, the script is already loaded.
When pausing the video, and then continue playing, there's a delay before the Handy starts moving again.

But I will test further, it could have been my internet or network that day goofing around.

@Sandi_SLR thanks for the update but I really dont understand why the B button functionality has changed.
I used it all the time for hiding the on screen UI (and on 2nd press going to Home) - but now many times intuitively pressing it, got starting unintentionally another video, quite frustrating. Despite the fact there is already another way to go to the previous video, I cannot understand why this hotkey is not configurable. I don't want to press the trigger to hide the UI - because already sometimes pointed unintentionally the Quit button while doing it (which incomprehensibly has no confirm dialog). Hope this getting changed back or is configurable.
              Thanks for reading, Yannis

Aerowen Hey we didn't change the behavior in file manager, just checked how it worked in previous version and it is same, it will go back to the folder it was opened initially, then hub.

Sandi_SLR it is about when being inside film playing, so from release notes:
                  Improvements:
B button will now traverse through video history instead of going back to hub

Yannis72 Hey we will add an option to bring this specific behavior back.

Generally we are going in direction of using Back button as browser like navigation, so it focuses on states/pages of the app, not UI.

Sandi_SLR Well maybe I remember it wrong or just never noticed before. But regardless what the functions do, from a UX pov any mixed behavior for a button is simply bad in any case.

I understand when in browser mode it makes sense to have 'back' button go back in video history but that has nothing to do with the functionality in the local files viewing.
None of the buttons should switch the app between 'browser mode' and 'local files viewing mode' and in general the back button in most file browsers always means going up one folder aka '\..' to the parent folder.

Hey, there was a small update - 13.7.1

                        Bug fixes:

                        • No more slider glitches in Haptics panel

Autofocus is staying turned off for now, we are still working on a fix, looks like it will take longer then anticipated.

Aerowen Hey, we are trying to mimic browser Back behavior, don't know which file browser you use but I see option for Up and Back. Switching the behavior only for file manager would be mixing it for me.
I am not against adding Up button to controller mappings, also as separate tab, so it would be unique to File manager, like assigning Up and Back to thumbstick directions or something...

                          Sandi_SLR changed the title to App 13.7 released (Haptics - T-Code/OSR & Handy) .
