Hey guys!

I think everyone know about our new function - Build Your Own Journey(BYOJ)
This is interactive videos on SLR.
Here is the question.
I feel that right now is a good time to produce the first fully interactive SLR originals scene. It can include up to 7-8 sex episodes, non linear story and good screenplay. Of coure we talking at least about BGGG.

Please give me some feedback, and if we get upvotes we will start production in early March.

Evan_Redstar I really like the idea.

For inspiration, please check out Life Selector. They're the gold standard in BYOJ porn in 2d POV. They really know how to do that stuff.

I personally love the "inner monologue" style of introduction they do for their European scenes (which are imho better than their US stuff with a few exceptions). It adds so much to the storytelling, especially for POV scenes that are restricted in storytelling.

I also love that there are always 3-4 connected episodes with a continuing storyline that are released in one bigger adventure. I guess that's pretty much the sweet spot, 7-8 scenes might imho be too many, especially if you want to release the whole story on one day in one adventure, like Life Selector does. I think it's much better that way, to release the full adventure on one day rather than releasing a new episode every other week. Being able to enjoy the whole storyline is imho key to the success of Life Selector's BYOJ content.

I've desperately wanted something like this for a while, basically early-era LifeSelector in VR form.

Dezyred tried but got lazy really quick.

petergriff I worked on fist Dezyred episode with Lacy and Whitney. 1.5 year on production lol. I think it's main reason why they got lazy.
Here we already have all functionality ready.

Evan_Redstar That episode was the best they ever did. The setup, the exploration, two girls that could actually act and have brains in their heads., it was perfect.

Anyone that can replicate that experience on a consistent basis has me as a customer for life.

Evan_Redstar I really liked the first Dezyred videos. I didn't play the game but just watched them on here in the order that I wanted to. The 3 part series SLR video "SLR Getaway" was awesome. All three videos are a huge hit. Why didn't you guys ever do this again? It made the story so much more real with the time to build the story more.

If you can recreate that with the BYOJ videos that you are talking about but even better than thats a game changer.

Yes, make it real. I also did my first test with the BYOJ function with the "SLR Getaway" videos, they seemed perfect for the first test.

All attempts to develop something new are more than welcome and I will be happy to check them out. However, I am not sure if I fully get what constitutes the interactive (or adventure) part. From what I understand so far, there would be an overarching storyline video and a set of stand-alone videos. I could be walking around in my house or someone behind a counter could present options to me. I am supposed to make a choice (a room in the house, one of the presented options) and then a video matching my choice will be played. So the interactive part would basically be limited to choosing inside the storyline video which non-interactive stand-alone video I want to watch? Or is there anything else?

The Idea to put this kind of scenario in to BYOJ looks good for me as well.

Evan_Redstar If story and acting are on point BYOJ would be incredible, like a visual novel on steroids. I fear interaction with digital objects might end up being gimmicky and not worth the additional effort

As for Agatha Vega, she is amazing but I'd personally prefer to try somebody new 🙂

I thought that was the whole point? Of course we want it, at least I do.

Actually the adventure should even be pre-scripted, at least in some instances with an ongoing storyline. But you should be able to choose the action within the scene so whether you want to see the foreplay or whether you want to see anal action, whether you want to see some ass to mouth action, which position you want to see etc. That's the core of an BYOJ experience to me.

What you plan her so far only sounds like a gimmicky way of choosing different videos instead of actually be able to experience an ongoing series of scenes with an overarching storyline and scenes in which you can cater the experience to your liking.

Please, simply just check out Life Selector. It's exaclty that. First company that actaully manages to transport that 2d POV BYOJ concept to VR will get my subscription money (maybe for lifetime).

Evan_Redstar I wasn't even thinking of digital objects but rather of more choices to make over the entire story. Choices that have consequences on how the story progresses. Could be that I have to find the right sequence of videos (at the beginning I find all rooms empty except one, at the end of video 1 I can get an object or piece of information that I will need to find and watch video 2. Or a girl would reject me the first time, but after having overheard the action in the other room, she will have changed her mind when I come back). And could be choices within a scene video about what kind of action is going to happen.

I am aware that even in its simplest form it will make production much more complex and costly (prescripting, filming of additional footage, building the story post-filming). But the worst case would be to have to watch the exact same choice menu video five times to watch all five scene videos. Even in the first iteration, there should be enough incentive to go through this procedure several times.

LordCrash Good point. As I said for sure I'll ask producers and check Life Selector my self during the pre-production. I think we able to give you some "sub" choices in the middle of sex scenes. I'll check with devs.

SchnuppiLilac Thanks! We will try to do our best working with scripts for this BYOJ adventure. I pretty sure that we can give you guys some side actions before sex parts.
