• Stuck at "Loading something awesome"

There is already some report regarding this message on Windows. But I'm on cardboard.

I noticed there have been a new version solving this problem, but how can I update? I assume the "SLR cardboard" app is a launcher and should update it for me, but it didn't happen. It just checked for latest version and load the local latest version, which stuck at the screen.

    Hey, sorry for late reply.
Our launcher automatically checks for updated if there is any and installs it.
Your app must be always up to date. We just made some fixes on resolving it, please let us know if it works.

I am also on cardboard (Nexus 5X) and it's still stuck at something awesome. Just removing and reinstalling the app, still doesn't work.

Hey, we've updated our Cardboard app,
let me know if you are up for beta testing, I'll send you link — it should resolve all the issues.

I'd be very excited to beta test this. I've been waiting for a fix for a long while and knew you were working on one.

OMG. That not only fixed the problem, but the new UI is AMAZING. I respect taking your time ensuring it's right before you officially release it (I'm a programmer myself) but holy cow it's very good! Congrats on all the hard work. With the advanced controls, to be frank, these studios should be paying SLR a bunch of money...The player literally has the ability now to correct some of the defects in many videos with regard to double vision and scale. The ability to adjust the overlap and zoom in/out is just killer. WAY better than any player any of the studios uses. On the web or as a suggested native app.

I'll even view my own local files through this player too. It's better than anything I can find in the Play store to be frank. Or just as good as some of the better players...But the interface (I have a freefly vr so I have buttons - so I appreciate considering them, very much!) is just more usable.

Thank you for letting me beta test this for you. Please let me know if you need any sort of beta testing - again I'm a programmer so I know some of the things to look for...And I also likely have an Android device you don't have since there's about 10 million of them. I'm sure every android device presents a new challenge for you.

Anyway, thank you and awesome job! Keep it up!

xxxstuff Hey, thank you for your feedback, our team honestly appreciates what you've just said.

We have problem testing Cardboard sometimes, because as you just mentioned range of devices is too great.
These betas will be available for public within this week along with a subscription model for selected studios on the website and the app as well.

You can drop me a line at pk(at)messapps.com for further collaboration on new releases, we are open to any feedback and looking forward to make the app even cooler.

          You're very welcome.

Actually, after I used it now for a bit I realized there's no way to re-center. I see in the help section an XBox controller can recenter, but it would be nice to have a button on the screen in the UI. The player UI where there's play, pause, and all the L/R, T/B stuff would be ideal...But even under the settings would be ok. It's not often you need to recenter, but sometimes you do and it's the most frustrating thing in the world.

So for bonus points that would be awesome to see. Perfect, perfect, perfect viewer and app in my opinion. Thanks again!

The force monoscopic setting is a killer feature, it's been working great for videos that aren't really stereoscopic. Night and day difference. It makes certain videos viewable that would otherwise make you go cross-eyed. Also tilt feature is nice...And performance of the player is really good. Some higher resolution videos that simply don't play in some other viewers will play in yours (bonus points on the anti-aliasing settings and fps display). So again, kudos on this app.

xxxstuff Thank you, we are working on these bugs you mentioned.
