Quality of Videos

I have been on slr for a couple of years now. Why does it seem that the quality of the videos are so much worst than in the past. So much of it is unwatchable. Horrible camera placement, Bad video quality and so boring. Even the SLR Originals have dropped off. They used to be some of the best around. In the past there would be 3 good ones a day and now days go by without a good one. This has me worried. I also have Wanks, Virtual Taboo and Badoink. Honestly their quality is great (although the quality of models has dipped). I just don't understand how the quality is obviously going backwards.

Two problems:
+Many more SLR Originals videos, much lower quality. Too much fetish that only interests a few, new directors who shoot VR as if it was standard porn.
+8K camera and giants girls have ruined many SLR movies for months. At SLR they have been wise enough to remove it, but many other studios still use it, it's like a big orgy with 6 foot tall NBA players....

I think for me anyways it's the 8k camera. So many of the 8k scenes everything looks giant to me and I can't watch them. It sucks cause some of them look like they have good stories too.
I can't figure it out because they will get a lot of likes and to me the picture is huge.

I would like to know what studio everybody thinks has the best scale.

I think Realjamvr always looks the most life like. But why is that. Are they using a different camera then everybody else?

I would trade 4096 for 3380 any day of the week if it looked more life size.

Back to your question, I think that studios start with a lot of energy in making great stories and over time just get lazy. Wankzvr use to make great stories lines that took an hour and a half. Now they are all 45 minutes no matter what.

rerun119 Have you tried if fiddling with the horizontal offset setting in Deo / SLR per video changes your reception of the scale?
For me all the 8k videos look good scale wise. Perhaps it's because my real IPD of 60mm is the same as the Canon lens.

Samsonite121 Horizontal helps with scaling, but doesn't it make the video look kida blurry, like you were looking at it cross eye.

It helps to some extent. Going more extreme values can result in eyestrain.

Samsonite121 I do use the horizontal offset. It helps some but some are so big that it doesn't help without starting to give you a headache.
Most of the new slr scenes look a lot better. Sometimes they are perfect with scale and sometimes they still look a little big. SLR says it's the same setup, so if that's true then it's the angle of the camera or post production.
I think cause SLR uses a 190 fisheye lens that it stretches the edges of the picture. If you look at the close up missionary your legs and dick are way way back down there cause it stretched the picture. But I still don't understand why something in front of you is bigger.

I think there are the same number of good Originals as always. It's just that there has been way more per month recently and they are not all great. So the average quality has gone down. But the number of really good ones is about the same as always IMO.

And their videos became boring too. Met up your girlfriend, get naked, do same positions, with the same pornstar look makeup and act, every video with every act "omg I'm gonna cum" "you are so deep in me!" "fuck that pussieehh". What happened to raw taboo series? At least these had a plot in it. But they were saying again "we can't do the step scenes because of credit card companies!!!" when platforms like ManyVids exists to satisfy all fetishes to extreme without any problem.

I'm actually blown away by how much worse it has gotten. Less intimate camera positions, except when they put the camera far too close in missionary where it's literally blurry (they used to nail missionary closeness. i.e. amber moore's scene). No standing blowjobs, bad lighting, most shot in a warehouse soundstage, sudden focus on passthrough that makes people look like giants while the majority of vr users use quests with horrible passthrough, cameras too far away in most scenes (especially laying down) and I don't know if it's the bitrate or the export or trying to save data or what but the actual quality of the video is kinda terrible. Even smaller studios are doing a better job, feet aren't my thing but the Lana Smalls footsie bay massage scene is an order of magnitude a better scene than the one SLR Originals produced.

Meanwhile features get removed or added that make the experience worse (i.e. the new storymode thing blocking the first video, no more toggle for interactive scenes so you can't even see which videos in your favorites or a studio are interactive, etc). Multiple studios have left the app, meanwhile SLR keeps adding studios that are absolutely terrible production-wise, some with actually unwatchable scenes with no way to report a broken scene. Now i just found out from another thread they are talking about having developers work on metaverse stuff which is like wtf fix your app first.

Meanwhile you look at other studios off of SLR and the quality is like 10x that of SLR (czechvr, povr originals, etc). I'm particularly a fan of POVR originals because they actually nail lighting and have a high bitrate (i think it's triple that of SLR last i checked).

Also the models are lacking big time. Not a single girl has done much for me on the SLR originals in probably 6 months. Too many tiny, small tits spinner types. Not enough star quality. I know many stars stopped shooting or might be exclusive but there are tons that are ready to go...you need to find a better way to get them in. Partnerships, spend more money on the talent itself etc. Much rather have lower budget scenery etc and have the talent and video quality top notch. I don't need fancy or expensive props or a giant mansion in the background. Save your money on that and focus on the other 2 and you'll beat everyone.
