It is recorded in stereo so you can see yourself what properties all the settings affect.
The Quality of the video is not the best, the software used to record it from can only do this good.
Otherwise you can still learn from it enough to improve your VR experience.
So how many people use any of these settings? Or do you have anything to add? Perhaps some life hacks like holding both triggers to move the view horizontally and vertically?
I use a lot of the 'transform' setting. I did play around with 6dof. I noticed that you can't use the Transform setting with this on. It is changing these setting with the movement of your head. I think it would work really well if you could set the starting point first with the Transform setting then turn it on and also let it have a more dramatic affect.
metaverse brightness, contrast and zoom are my most used settings, many scenes are super bright or have washed out colors or both, and those sliders can really help to make a near unwatchable scene look good ! scaling issues are more rare but they still happen so its great to have the slider to make things look right.
i do have to say though, in comparison the sharpening filter is pretty bad, it either needs to be changed or allow more fine tuning as even at +0.5 scenes will often look over-sharpened
rather than have access to pointless amount of sharpening that nobody will ever use, it should top out at +2 (becoming the new max value obvs) which would give the viewer much finer control over sharpening and it'd be actually worth using.
SuckNickname rather than have access to pointless amount of sharpening that nobody will ever use
But I use it
In pass-through I might push it all the way to left or right to add an effect to the video, wish they add more sliders for effects, I'd like to make it look blurry like a drunken blurry effect.
But I use it, lol in pt when I put it on its like I been zapped into this distorted television.
But I usually do this while medicated, change hue colors too.
Ever wanted to have sex with a she hulk? Move the horizontal off set to the right like 2 or 3 or more notches and turn her green, lol
On quest 2 in the accessibility settings you can add contrast and it adds contrast to everything, the menu, games and videos you watch. Works good too.
Also has height adjustment for sitting, example say your sitting but your view is lower due to u sitting, you turn on the height adjustment you back to standing but you still sitting.
I heard quest adding a "laying in bed mode"
I often wondered how someone who might be paralyzed be able to use the headset while in bed, I'd often think about that when using YouTube vr on the vr videos, cuz it has no tilting at all and still in 2023 no tilting or zooming, and I like to lay and watch videos but with no tilting I just thought man this sucks what if i had no mobility, can't even see the vr video right.
I saw a video where they added settings for handicap people, they could use the controller like if they pulling on a rope to lift their virtual self up, I thought it was pretty cool, had all kinds of configurations. Vr could be really fun for people with disabilities, or is now
metaverse Different videos benefit from their particular adjustments to achieve the best viewing experience. It would be great if it is possible to safe the setting to that specific video. At the moment,we can adjust and save the setting which unfortunately will apply to all the videos. Can you make it so that we can save a specific setting to a specific video?
The Slide function is the best part of the APP IMO. The sharpen function needs to be optimized. I have noticed that the videos get on average 20-30 fps decrease (on a Quest 2 at least) when Sharpen is turned on. The horizontal offset is also a game changer. It makes the scale of the girl look way more realistic.
