Starting to see some benefits to Viewport as a delivery channel on my Oculus Go for streaming through DeoVR, but not completely sold on it. One of the features I miss the most is the ability to adjust the horizontal offset, which I frequently need to increase by 1-5% to adjust to the distance between my pupils and make watching a more natural-feeling experience.
1) Is there a reason why Viewport doesn’t allow this adjustment?
2) Is there a way to set a global “default” for settings for playing new videos? I know when I play through the app, it sometimes stores my last settings which sometimes helps, but not always. It would be nice if I could set my default to be zoomed out 20% and positive horizontal offset by 5% and then I could adjust based on that baseline.
3) Is there any way that at different cutpoints of the video, the app could register that I always tilt down or slide to the right, or zoom in? Sometimes managing poorly-produced video is more of a distraction than I’d care to deal with, and I’d think the software could be configured to address this. Just a thought.
