  • Best/Optimal Settings for Vr Viewing in DEO.

What are the absolute best settings to get total immersion, depth and make it as real as possible. Want to make sure im getting them most out of Quest2 and SLR. 6DOF seems like it just zooms the image in, is it supposed to be on? With it off its zoomed out more and picture is crisper, but you lose immersion. Should horziontal offset all that crap even be used or turned off of default??

One of the most frustrating things about VRporn so far to me is that there's TOO manty options on how to change, adjust or edit the video and it's confusing. I'm sure if I'm warping the image or making it worse or if I'm making it better. Maybe there needs to be a better explanation or tutorial.

    By default 99% of the videos have the best settings on. You don't need to do anything.
    But if you would like to experiment just try all the settings to figure out what they do. You can always reset them if you messed up something.
    6DoF by default is off.
    note that 6DoF is still in development and this option that is in the player is an early stage version.
    Horizontal offset along with vertical and all other settings are by default set to 0 since the videos are stitched and mastered before uploading and proper mesh applied to every single video to be able to play right away.
    The only case you might want to use Horizontal / vertical offset is if the video by your opinion has a scale issue.
    Reducing horizontal offset makes model appear smaller but might give you some eyes discomfort at extreme values
    Vertical offset is known to fix the horizontal position of 2 images left and right. Some studios' videos might require a little help with that.
    Otherwise as i already said - most of the videos have the best setting applied.

            Hurto11 There is a passthrough category with best video for "Passthrough".
            These videos usually have more or less plain background which is being removed and you have a transparent background which is filled with the background of your room which received from the camera on your headset which creates some kind of feeling that the model is in your room with you.

                  Not really G, it's just there for you to mess around with, before all that I just used deo with the zoom set at -8 as my default (still do) and I'd be fine watching any vr video with out messing with any settings going threw many videos.

                  Now if you want clearer videos an u got good high speed wifi you can watch the 8k videos fine streaming, or just download them.

                  But honestly I was fine with 4k and up
                  I had a gearvr and I could watch 6khd with no problem but I was fine with 1920p. And I had that for 5 years. Was great...ahh good times, I miss you gearvr, she was good to me. 😊

                  Now, imo if u want sum real immers try the pass through options, youll has sum hotties in ur own room, find a foursome scene, SMH...hotties all over ur own bed, standing over you, crawling over you, ffs 🤦‍♂️...Imo that's the highest immers you can get imo.

                        Vrsumo2017 passthrough on a quest 2 is like -1000% immersion... it looks awful with the blurry, distorted black and white camera...

                          Hurto11 The whole idea is to make things work with a single click with no additional settings required.

                          You might play with device color profile from deovr settings and other color settings for every particular video. There is some major development work in place on the back-end to improve video quality. Ultimately we expect a great progress there requiring no additional settings from the user.
