Fairly new to SLR. After some time initially browsing the website / DeoVR view of videos in Quest 2, I'm wondering if I'm missing what seems to be an important feature -- tracking watched/watching/unwatched status for each video (and being able to see it easily on each preview card, if not "filter") as well as keeping track of time point for resume playback.
It seems like I've seen playback resume as the point where it left off, so that may be in place already -- but I can't tell if it's consistent yet (need a larger sample size).
But being able to automatically/manually mark a particular video "played" and have it clearly "greyed out"/flagged in the list of videos or have the 100% played progress bar at the bottom of the thumbnail image or similar UI would be helpful to keep track of what has been seen/played/finished previously. Similarly, a manual option to "mark as played" / "mark unplayed" would be helpful.
Does any of this exist and I'm just missing it? Right now I'm considering adding all played videos to a custom playlist, but it requires remembering to do so and there is no visual feedback on previews when browsing. This pattern seems to be pretty common for large video libraries (e.g. YouTube) and can be seen at a glance by looking at the %-complete progress bar on any video thumbnail/card when browsing no matter where it shows up (search results/playlists/studio list/etc).
YouTube Example (red/gray progress bar below thumbnails):
Curious to see if either I'm missing something obvious that's already in place or if others have a different technique for tracking what has been seen (and excluding it from future browsing)? I guess I just have a bad memory for such things...
The other similar concept I'd like to see is a "recently watched" list. I see this being helpful when switching devices (e.g. quest => pc). A video could be watched on headset and later comments added/likes/organized into playlists on PC, so would be nice to have the most recent played/streamed items visible somewhere on the website. Coming from some local files in SkyBox player, they have a "recent" list for the local files and I've found it nice to have available to jog my memory -- when streaming would be even more useful though since it would span devices and organizing could occur on PC.
