Best App for streaming downloads

I am storing the files on drive and using the Skybox app.

It's temperamental at times which makes the viewing of files not fun....

Any suggestions for a good app that will stream from a drive to the headset?

I agree. XBVR + Heresphere is the best solution at the moment.

For a very small collection SMB network shares are good enough, but if you have hundreds of videos it's much better to use XBVR.

If you use Quest 2 I would pick the native version of Heresphere, for other headsets the Steam version.

The collection is not large and currently sits on a 1Tb drive (although not full).

I can't see how to get the Heresphere app onto the Quest 2 headset as it's not showing when I search for it.

SMB???? Not a clue what this is.....is it easy to set up?

It's highly recommended not to data hoard.

No one needs a collection one can't handle over a lifetime. There's an influx of new cool content and streaming features.

Let's enjoy the things, not complicate it for everyone.

Everyone needs a collection. There's an influx of new cool content and streaming features, but there is also much content removed from the site, so if you have favourites its safer download so you always have the peace of mind of knowing you can access the scene.

Let's be help[ful and answer the OP question rather than push the don't download agenda.
