But the most logical one would be using two 4K30fps cams that can do "3.5"K at 45 or 60 fps.
It is currently not that common, straight forward and cheap to have 4k60fps cams and all the other gear for VR. You are limited to what you can use for shooting POV VR. They have to be small enough to use in a setup that the lenses are at eye-distance and mounted in the right position.
You probably noticed scenes yourself that are shot off-center, a bit too much to the right or left.
