I was wondering if anyone else had come across, or had this problem?
Last night, after taking off my headset, the little cheap ass plastic bar that secures the centre strap broke at one end!
As you can see, I've currently fixed it with super glue - which seems to be holding, but I'm guessing this will only be temporary. I've tried looking for a new head strap, but they all seem to utilise this bar, so it looks like I can't replace it unless I get a new headset! I will contact Oculus, but I bought my Quest when it was first released, so the warranty has probably expired now, and I don't fancy sending it away. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you get around it?
Also, be aware of how cheap the bar is in future. Surely it should've been made of metal, or at least easily replaceable! So, if in future you're having a particularly aggressive wank, or need to rip the headset off as someone is pounding at the front door, just be wary of how fragile the damn thing is.
