Is it my illusion that l feel girls are looking at the camera not me?

yes, I’ve struggled once or twice sorting this out too. there was one particular time when I just couldn’t work it out, so I checked my calendar and realized that no, I was three states away from where it happened, so they couldn’t have been looking at me. 🤨🤔🤯

Seriously though, I usually feel they're looking at me, but it depends a bit on which lens they look into. Maybe it has to do with which eye is your dominant eye. If they stare into the "wrong" lens, I don't feel like they're looking at me either. I think it's best if they jump from lens to lens often, like people usually do when looking at other faces. Sometimes they seem to look between the two lenses, and that works for me too, even though it's not "normal behaviour" to look there.
But someone else can probably explain all this better.

In the western VRs, girls rarely look directly into the eyes.

Maybe the problem is that they never put the camera at eye level, it's always up and down because in western VR they are afraid to shoot face to face scenes, It seems a taboo...

Try some JAV VR, see if you notice any difference. They really know how to shoot eye contact, they are masters. And the camera is almost always at eye level.
