Interactive videos vs Haptics 🤔

It's about time we change what we call "Interactive videos".
I was always confused how videos with script were called interactive as it's just videos that have got an extra metadata track.
The interactive feature we are doing now giving you full control of the video like what to watch and what to skip along with a dialog video what option to choose is the true interactive stuff.

Thus I suggest we start calling sex toy videos "Haptics videos" and this new format "Interactive videos". Alternatively we can call the new videos "Choose your own adventure", though it's too long

doublevr if we were to be true to form, I'd say scripted videos should be dildonic videos, but I'm sure there is someone out there that would get the wrong impression, "interactive" isn't quite accurate, but is much easier for someone whose thinking with the other head to comprehend, "Scripted" could work, but I fear that due to CYOA having pre determined lines, people could get confused thinking that that is what a "scripted" video is. especially if there isnt a Big Flamboyant Banner in the App, Website, ect. Informing of the change (and it'd likely have to be left up for quite some time, as not every spanks a monkey on the daily.
whatever action is taken, a Clear line of dialogue between SLR and the Consumer has to be made to avoid many headaches in the future.

Trying to rename something is fine, but dont take 1 name and use it for something new then rename the 1st thing. It just confuses everyone.
Id say either leave Interactive as it is and come up with a different name for the new thing, maybe creative or cyoa.
Or rename both and do not use the word interactive at all to avoid the confusion.

You saying interactive is wrong is your opinion, the phrase interactive make sense to everyone that uses it.

And if your really set on changing it then rename interacitve as scripted or whatever, but dont call the new option interactive.
Firstly because it will mean people will constantly be asking for clarifaction on which of 2 are being discussed. Itll be do you mean old interactive or new interactive etc etc.
Coupled with every other site is using the phrase interactive to refer to scripted scenes so why confuse things.
And lastly but most importantly not everyone uses the forums, so when things change it is not always relayed to the customers in an easy to understand manner.

I like the idea of choose your own adventure, but the idea of words popping up and interrupting the action sounds awful. Total immersion killer waiting to happen. Maybe make it possible to map out the adventure ahead of time where we can choose what action and order of action appeals, and then it all plays back without the interruption? And call it whatever you like. I agree that a video playing with a metadata track to power a toy makes no sense being called interactive.

Nah it was great they only thing that sucks is that they only do 1 story per year, and their monetization.

ibins If it had been a flat $XX fee I would have been much more interested. The micro-transactions killed it for me, but agree - cool concept and what I saw with the amount I was willing was pretty interesting.
