My current favorite headset is the discontinued Samsung Odyssey Plus. Tut it's getting worn and I cracked part of the earphone cover on one side just yesterday. 🙁
I've been wanting to try the HP Reverb 2. It's on sale at the HP site for $200 off this weekend. I pulled the trigger. I thought some of you might be interested.
EDIT: Received the new Reverb and I'm quite happy with it. The resolution is miles ahead of any of the other headsets I've owned. The FOV is a bit smaller than the Samsung. But if you don't wear glasses, you can take one of the face gaskets off and it improves significantly.
I highly recommend at the price it is going for this weekend--$399. If you decide to get it, make sure to buy from HP and get the updated one.--released in October 2021 with the plastic front instead of the cloth front. Some resellers are still shipping the outdated pre Oct. 2021 version.
It's supposed to have pass-through capability as well, but I haven't figure out how to enable it yet.
