Hello everyone,

I'm running into some problems downloading videos--some downloads cut off before the file is completely saved.

Example: https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/truth-or-dare-with-stepsister-24511

I've tried downloading this video three or four times now at the Max 6k/h.265/8.65 GB option. My first try cut off when the file was at 6.1 GB. The most recent attempt cut off at 5.19 GB.

(I just tried downloading the Optimal 4k/h.265/4.83 GB version, and it was going well until the very last second--my browser has it marked as failed, but if I rename the partial download in my folder to .mp4, the video will run and seek, and play to 1:07:35--which is  three seconds short of the actual length, 1:07:38.)

Several other videos where this is happening to me (all with the Max 6k/h.265 options):

I don't think it's my Internet connection, since I've downloaded larger files without issue. For example, https://www.sexlikereal.com/scenes/my-dirty-laundry-25944 is 21 GB and downloaded fine. I'm also under the 30-download limit. On the other hand, I don't necessarily think it's a problem with the particular file or the servers, because the downloads cut off at different file sizes each time.

Any ideas? This is all very weird.

Before I started using a download manager I had the same problems with my downloads from SLR.
It's usually resolved by downloading them through a download manager.

I personally use ADM to download them to my phone.

Here is a PC download manager
Internet Download Manager

Hopefully this will resolve the problem from your future downloads.

GetReal Magnificent; using a manager seems to have worked. Thanks for the suggestion.

I downloaded three videos overnight (I use Free Download Manager) and all three have several unplayable sections πŸ™ I redownloaded one of them today without the download manager and now it seems to work fine but I haven't gotten to watch it all the way through yet. This is really frustrating because I have pretty slow internet - I can't stream comfortably and the downloads take a long time and they apparently aren't even reliable when they finally finish πŸ˜…

This seems to be a common problem, I've seen a couple of threads here on the forums as well as a couple of comments under videos on the site talking about incomplete and corrupt downloads, and now I'm experiencing it myself. Seems like it must be an issue with SLR's content delivery network, right?

CrystalRime I am also using FDM, which solved my problem. The site terms mention that downloading multiple files at once is not allowed, and FDM by default segments downloads. If you have several unplayable sections, I would guess that the ends of each segment are each getting cut off. Maybe try setting the connections settings in FDM to just single connections? I set my Traffic Limits options in the program all to 1 and everything seems to work fine now.

If that doesn't work, maybe try reaching out to support via email.

I've had users not able or wanting to use a download manager reporting back this also fixed this specific issue for them.

Open a new tab in your browser, copy/paste the following in the address bar and set it to enabled.

      • For Chrome
        chrome://flags/#enable-parallel-downloading

      • For Edge
        edge://flags/#enable-parallel-downloading

      • For Firefox !Only do this if you have issues in FireFox!
        about:config

        • you might get a warning, click ok, continue, or whatever it happens to ask.
        • Then in the searchbar at the top type
          max-persist
        • For the line network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server
Set it to 8 - increase the number by 2 if you still have issues. if you are up to 12 and still having issues, then it's likely a different issue.

Do not download more than one file from SLR at the same time!
For other browsers it will be something similar, you can always google for enable parallel downloading + your browser
