  • Does everything seem so close and blurry???

Hello,

new here. some videos are fine, but it seems SOO many even when they are not directly on top of you, looks cross-eyed, blurry or too close and its actually painful to watch. what is the deal?

I am using a quest 2. how can I get the best experience? I am using the app, I was using deovr and even the original browser at first it does not really seem to make a difference. although I think I notice it more with the app since before I subbed I was making do with the 2 min previews on deovr lmaoo.

any help is appreciated. (my IPD is about 61mm) I set mine to 2 and move it over slightly, other stuff is mostly fine.

    navyguy Hmmm, this is a pretty typical thing when the action is VERY close (as is when a model leans in to "kiss" you, etc.). But if you're seeing double-vision even when they're a bit further away...that one I'm not sure about. Some studios/videos are a bit better at avoiding this than others, so may also depend on if it's specific scenes you're experiencing this with OR if it's with pretty much all scenes. 🤞

    If it's with most scenes, then it could be an IPD issue- but there's plenty of folks in the community who are more familiar with Quest 2 than I am and might be able to assist.

      navyguy Maybe itd help if you could provide some specific examples with scenes and timestamps. It's kind of hard to tell you anything meaningful based on the given information.

        A lot of the 4k videos look blurry to me. I just watch 5k+ stuff now to avoid it.
