Why doesn't SLR partner with famous porn studios/directors?

You could provide them with the VR camera equipment, experienced crew, and training/resources to make the highest quality VR scenes. Help them shoot their first few scenes, working out a deal where you provide the equipment, production expenses, and training for them with a contract that they must list a certain amount of scenes on your site. They can of course cross list them on their own sites as well, maybe after a set period of time, so you have an exclusive listing. They then own the content under their studio and you've helped onboard them onto your platform so they can list more content over time if they want now that they are up and running making it. You could maybe start with a set number of scenes. The benefit to SLR is it will draw in all their followers to the SLR platform.

I'm curious why something like this hasn't been done yet and why a lot of the major porn studios and famous directors/male talent aren't making VR porn.

Why should they be interested in doing VR porn?

Guys like Jules and Mike and Rocco are famous for their 2D porn and 2D voyeur porn angles and everything. They wouldn't gain much from shooting VR porn imho.

LordCrash To be honest flat content hardly interests me now days and I just wish it was in VR instead. For example TeamSkeet has an amazing scene with Jazlyn Ray here but when I'm watching it in my head I can't stop thinking about how it could be 100x better in VR. Same goes for videos from BangBros at least they started making VR at VirtualPorn but I still see there flat stuff and think it would have been better in VR for sure.

I think the bottom line is that VR is still a "niche" itself in the grand scheme of things, just in terms of overall size as compared to the 2d market, but over time I personally have zero doubts that this will change as VR become more popular and the userbase skyrockets (like we've already been seeing in the last few years).

At some point I imagine many of the major 2d studios will branch out into VR, but I don't think at this specific moment in time they see a huge incentive to (yet). Though we've certainly already seen "test runs" from a number of them in the past year.

I think I read somewhere that Evil Angel is cranking out around 100+ new scenes a month across all their sites which is insane. You would think they could dedicate 10 of those to being VR and launch a VR line. A lot of VR only sites are only doing like 1-4 updates a month so 10 a month would be pretty solid.

I think you maybe right and the few earily adapters to VR will be the ones who survive later. They are like the Crocodiles of our time. It might not be an overnight change but I knew the second that I saw VR porn once I had to get a headset and now I 100 percent prefer it since I have a headset. And the more headsets that get sold the more they will spread over time. And better headsets hitting the market will just speed up things.
