Maybe, but the point is that the popularity of a single scene based on likes or view is a really pretty worthless KPI without having a look at the bigger picture. The most important question is (or rather should be) whether a scene adds to the overall value of the subscription or not. Likes or views don't answer that question in an sufficient way. Of course they are part of the formula but rather worthless without the other parts and the whole formula itself.

LordCrash Yeah, be super interesting to try to figure out an algorithm or equation that would actually be able to assess some of this stuff. Especially for which specific scenes drew in new memberships- maybe which new releases are streamed/downloaded within 60 mins of first time sign-up or something along those lines, not sure how else you could assess it short of a literal questionnaire.

But then again, I'm kind of assuming that's why the thread was started in the first place: they've almost certainly already looked into all of these factors in a dozen different ways considering their position in the market, and the like/favorite count was the best overall predictor of a scene that was "worthwhile" to release.

But as usual I'm just taking guesses, so who knows 🤷‍♂️
