  • Anyone into NFT's and blockchain?

It's about time we get things going with NFT and blockchain on SLR.

We have amazing community and creators economy with the actual creators, performers, interactive sex toys script creators (like paid sub-titles), live cams. We plan to introduce even more interaction to our app and website. Ultimately I can think of SLR as being multiuser spatial metaverse where people hang out and do things together. I suspect a significant amount of SLR users is into NFT and crypto as 5% of our sales are processed in crypto.

Would be great to meet someone knowledgeable who would make it happen. Looking to bring some actual value instead of hype.

Otherwise I like the idea of bringing the next level of abstraction and virtualisation. Not only it allows to reword creators and performers based on actual engagement, but we can also build the whole economy for viewers and viewers brought by these viewers who watched, commented or recommended the video.

The core idea is not bad at all. It's true that most of NFTs and cryptos are hyped garbage.

But look, in early days of VR 99% of content was shit. No one else could think of making the whole thing streaming as SLR did. Chances are we can find the right combination for crypto.

I can assure you we are not going into classy ICO/NFT bullshit. Not at all

We also plan to introduce SLR token at some point to replace any currency transactions that we have

    I'm very active in NFT communities and the whole blockchain space. I do believe there are endless opportunities for SLR.

    Just to name a few:

    • via the blockchain you can for instance launch your own SLR coin and reward people for views, comments, being active in this community chats, etc. So a reward system can be build (see Veracity for instance).
    • Earned tokens can for instance be used to buy NFTs, access to videos / Webcam, etc. NFTs are not only JPEGs people they are transferrable assets and can be membercards, option to select a pornstar, certain type of scene, memberships, etc. You could even sell your 1 year membership for instance or lend it to someone for a certain period if you do not use it (and get coins in return). A whole economy can be created.
    • You could also setup your own space in the metaverse where this community can go and chat, vote for next pornstars, provide feedback, get to know each other, recommend videos, etc. You can also make a behind the scenes area where we can see footage, help in writing the scripts, do quality assurance in return for tokens, etc.

    Possibilities are endless and the experience will be wayyy more interactive than this chat. Furthermore you can also compensate people for being active in the community.

    Nifty Island is a metaverse that is going in Alpha this week. Land (islands) are free there (you have to pay for land in the Sandbox and Decentraland). Why not give it a try and start our own SLR Island there. We could build that with the SLR team and the community. The community can be rewarded for contribution via coins or NFTs. Discord is a very handy channel to get these things started.

    Just a few ideas and suggestions. I can most definitely help you out if you are willing to make this step....

    You could release a limited # NFTs where the owner has perks. For example, if owning the NFT allows a person to vote on which scene gets funacript priority or which actress gets cast/shot first. This would give them real value and not some pyramid scheme bs.

          NFTs were tried by Wankz and were a washout - you might want to find out why theirs didnt work.

            i see not much of a use of a normal NFT structure.
            SLR Script posters that are not under a agreement for money but just post them in the future could get some SLR Tokens that then could be used for idk Voting, Buying Single Scripts.
            Overall, making the something like a SLR Token being much more of a Shadowbank then anything else.
            Good for people who just want to post 1 or 2 scripts and then just get something of reward for the contribution
            Could be bad if Financial institutions want to take a shot at you talking of the lines of "Money laundery"

            Guessing most people shitting all over this idea here don’t really understand what NFTs are or can be beyond overpriced jpg images. There’s a lot more to it folks. Understand what you’re shitting on before doing so, lest ye wind up covered in shit 😉

            While not the same as porn, music artists releasing their work as NFTs has very interesting applications. The article above showcases some of the potential. It would be cool to own a limited edition copy of a Melody Marks scene that opened up the chance to Zoom call with her, for example… or perhaps an opportunity to be onset to witness an upcoming shoot. All sorts of perks are imaginable.

            And not all blockchain technology results in energy hogging. The technology is advancing and shifting rapidly. Any business is very smart to figure out where they can fit in, because this will be as big and as world changing as the Internet was in the nineties. Bigger probably.

            @doublevr I for one applaud this effort. Anything that works to bring blockchain technology to the mainstream is good in my view. Regulators, blockers, and haters will all see the light soon enough.

              Basically one thing is all the hype around NFT what is bullshit and scam, another thing that DeFi is actually creating a layer 0 for a new economy. That's an actual science and the real deal.

              I kinda get a sense where things are going, yet we have to figure it out right for SLR. Instead of programming all the tokens logic we can enjoy blockchain implementation bringing the whole thing to the next level and establishing foundation for a new economy.

              Getting right people is the key

                  Norep0 That's a bit ignorant on what NFT's are and mining. Mining on hardware also is not necessary and most 'coins' aren't even mined in this sense. ETH is actually a perfect example. They are moving away from hardware mining completely. But I'll leave the mining topic at that. I could write pages and pages on this 😃 (I'm a miner, 100% solar)

                  Sadly, for most people crypto and NFT's = $$$, while it has much much more to offer and can bring costs and energy consumption down a lot. Only looking at what it consumes and ignoring what it would save on the other end isn't being objective about it. (Nor am I, I'm invested in it.) - It's putting a big demand on renewable energy, making the development and application grow faster + cheaper (as long silver price stay relatively low)

                  Here's something for example what the porn industry can do with NFT's.:
                  Reserve cam time with camgirls. When these girls work on holidays, imo they should be compensated as such. For example they can sell Valentine's tokens which would work as NFT's. They are not some stupid image nor for reselling at a profit. You can make them non-resealable. - The girls could charge more for these tokens and you get to reserve that time in advance.

                  I know, there are a lot of if's and but's and questions already, that doesn't mean they can not be overcome. The funds can be locked in the smartcontract on blockchain until then so the girl can't just run off with the money. Like an escrow, but programmed 'in' the NFT's.

                  There are many applications for NFT's that don't even involve the users, such as anti-piracy.
                  There are pretty advance things that could be done with porn, streaming, blockchain and rewards. But even the projects I know of that are building these have still a long way to go. Distributed video encoding and peer-to-peer streaming. Such as the Theta Network.

                  You could make ALL toys compatible (if the manufacturers want to) from the day they launch! 🥳

                  It has a lot to offer, if you use it right. - Meaning, as tools, not get rich quick scheme. - I have tons of ideas what could be done. NONE of them are buying and selling jpegs 😃 - But I don't like to make them public.

                      yes, innovators haven’t even scratched the surface of what blockchain will do to improve everything. people only think about crypto scams and all the FUD those threatened by this technology are spreading. crypto currency is just the first killer app to emerge from blockchain. And Pudgy Penguins selling for 100s of $thousands amount to nothing more than pets.com style hype when the potential of the internet hadn’t fully been grasped. I too am invested, but I’ve had plenty of ah-ha moments reading every book I can find on the subject. This stuff is exciting!

                            The coolt thing about DeFi is that it doesn't really matter if prices go up or down. You get paid either way.
